Iβm listening to the episode and had some info on a part of the movie that confused you. When Disneyland first opened you bought ride tickets in addition to paying general admission. So whoever wrote that line(assuming itβs Crichton) was thinking about pre-1981 Disney.

When the singing starts it is Sammy David Jr doing a bit where it is only his drummers as he sings a medley of songs with some improvisation. He usually incorporated Sinatra's I've got you under my skin at some point. So it is even stranger as he is lip syncing to a piece from 50-60 years in the past.

Saw this today and holy crap is it perfect for the podcast. Such a bonkers movie.

Listening to the questions about a Spaceballs connection I went looking but couldn't find much about locations or the like... However, I did find that they shared the same editor. The films were released about a year apart and were made by the same company so I wouldn't be surprised if they reused stuff to save money.

He was winking because he's wearing body armor. He didn't die either, they leave him on the side of the road to be picked up by a helicopter. A helicopter you not only hear coming, but Dom turns to look at over his shoulder(we see it too). He mentioned he had SOCOM medics coming to pick him up when they were in the car.

As for Dom lifting the Hypercar. Many of those kinds of cars will be insanely light. Add in the fulcrum effect from only lifting the back and using the front wheels as a pivot point and he's lifting even less weight. There is still one factor that makes it at least somewhat unrealistic that Vin Diesel could lift the car, it is bullet-proof. Bullet-proofing adds a decent amount of weight typically as armor isn't light.

Am I the only one who noticed how close the cars were when they pulled up for the races only to be spaced much further apart when they actually raced? Their initial spacing is so close they would kill the cute girls who start the races. Every. Single. Time. I know it's probably for some cinematic reasons as far as framing a picture or whatever, but it bothers me to no end.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who wants to hear them make jokes about this. And I'm really interested in June's reactions. -

The Most Watchable How Did This Get Made Movies?
Vegas820 replied to shaquillemacneil's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Nick Cage at his... finest? I agree though. This list had me scratching my head. I'd actually list most of the films, except for Face/Off, as some of the least watchable. -
When Harlan was doing his walk the reason it took 20 takes is that he apparently kept walking into other people and off the dock.
