Watched the Grinder pilot: A fresh take on the clean sitcom format. Rob Lowe is handsom and charming, Fred Savage uses his hot chops, and The Boyz contribute to the brilliant writing that provides the comedy of the show. Best new show of the season. C+

CBB shouted out Hayes and Sean for writing on The Gridner which was being promoted today. Has anyone here seen that show? Thoughts?

i'm still tied with hayes for the worst record, but i am setting my lineup. i think i can get a win this week though, things are finally coming together a little bit.

also that reminds me of Hayes (or sean??) a few weeks ago calling Andy Greenwald a dweeb, which was overlooked/underrated

do you people like Doug Loves Movies? I just went to a taping at ucb and Paul F. Tompkins did Werner Herzog and that was one of the longest periods of laughing i've ever experienced. I think i laughed the entire time i saw Hollywood Handbook at ucb (both times). speaking of hardest time i've ever laughed, Pete Holmes talks about that on his podcast too, am i right? that guy is a fucking dweeb.

would subscribe and listen. in fact, send me over the pilot, i'll put together a little pitch package for wolfcool. all i need is to be credited as the executive producer and get 40% of the ad revenue. also, i'll be on the show weekly, doing my Tracy Morgan in a Nursery character.

"Yo is this racist" should have been the title of The Champs. But a better title for that show would have been "Neal Brennan being racist but getting away with it because he created Chappelle's Show while Moshe and Doug try to distance themselves from his racial theories + Doug's drops".

i talked to him about podcasts the other day. he knows more about podcasts than anybody i've ever met, which should have been obvious. we then did a scene where he buried me alive, fun stuff

he also referred to me (and my classmates) as wonderful. how nice. i bet he knew i would be lurking his AMA

the first segment was real good, but i didn't really like the character that came in. Every segment on Hollywood Handbook is real good, also smart.

Excited to listen based off of the description, I'm always down for the Dink
