i have a band called Locas. locas.bandcamp.com is where you will find our demo from last year, we're recording again soon. back then we were a 2-piece and now we have a third member so it'll be more full sounding on the next time around. riyl Jawbreaker, Pavement, Dino Jr, Joyce Manor, Title Fight, any other stuff between indie rock and post-hardcore/emo

i didn't have any sausage or beer last night but it was still great. they closed the normal set with oh comely, which was the first time i'd seen them play it (seen them twice previously). i saw jeff do it when he played a solo set but with the band doing the instrumentation at the end it made it that much better. the encore was Little Birds followed by the last 3 tracks of ITAOTS so it was pretty perfect. i smoked a joint that was as wide as a sausage? great night regardless

i considered picking both of these babies but thought I'd pick a band that I've seen live/kept up with new releases, neither of which apply to pavement

drove out to santa ana (which basically makes california look like a fucking flyover state or some bullshit, 40+ miles from hollywood are you kidding me?) to see Neutral Milk Hotel last night. Third time seeing them since the reunion and I'd have to say it was the best live experience I've ever had (other than Hollywood Handbook live @ UCB sunset)

MCIII is actually a great album. I was disappointed in the reviews by pitchfork among others, I'd say it's a solid 8 out of 10 and within my top 10 of the year thus far. good job mickey cro-cro, really making a name for Gojira records

Marc Macaroni is my favorite part of this whole episode, which is so stupid but I love it and can't look at his face without thinking of that name (I look at Marc's face a few times per hour throughout my day). Glad to see someone as spunky as Lapkus joining in on the fun, remembering someone as spunky as the late Dave. Thanks Dave, rest in late night peace.

yes! when is the last time Rust went on? i guess all three of those guys would be "characters" kind of but it would be weird not having an actual character per usual, although they've done it before on cbb

oh yeah, i wasn't saying it was a bad thing. thinking of him calling them idiots reminds me of the 2nd PFT ep where Sean is called stupid by the guest while playing Riddle Me This. also the way they do Riddle Me This on that episode is one of my favorite HH segments ever

what's your favorite so far? i'm on my second run-through right now, first time my favorite was DCP (mainly for the discussion of all things rando), but I think Dan Klein might be my favorite now
