Comedy Bang Bang TV show renewed for 2016
zoankkambie replied to justinmh05's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Congratulations that's great news! The show has been on fire this season giving us grepisodes every week, thankfully it will continue to do that next year. I'm just guessing (what do I know), but I think it might be because Scott; doing "only" 20 episodes frees him to do other stuff and maybe take some time off from time to time. I feel like he has told in multiple interviews/sources how much work the 40 episode order has been (doing 15 hour days etc.) plus to think the amount of podcasts and other stuff he has been doing this year (like the Bob and David stuff). -
EPISODE 349 — The 6th Anniversary Show!
zoankkambie replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Laughed my ass off at how long it took for Scott to realize which particular duck he was. Also bring back Time Keeper, perhaps the funniest charac of the ep.- 136 replies

I love how close Thomas Middleditch's German accent is to his oh so offensive Chinese accent.- 136 replies

Wasn't the anniversary episode I was waiting for, but Matt Gourley as Professor Stealwater? Can't wait to listen to this!
-
There are couple of impressions, but they are quick and in no way polluting the episode.
-
"I'm the judge, jury and executioner of penises." This was some good content, hopefully the content destroyer won't destroy this one. Kevin was a great first timer (how on earth he hasn't been on earlier) and you could really hear that he too was a fan of the show. Andy Pappage was a good character (although I would love for Seth to bring back Ozzie Patinkin), I especially loved the thunder storm bit. And soon will be the sixth year anniversary episode! Can't wait to hear that one.

I really don't think that this episode was that bad, but not the best either, it was just fine. Tom seemed like a guy who didn't really get the show, it has happened before and that's ok he still had some good jokes. I think that Tom tried to continue the therapy bit with his dog story at first, but got sentimental and that's understandable (even thought it brought the show down to a halt). The character's where fine (the nipple sucking/inner-self bit was great), but they didn't really have space to grow. I would love to hear from both of them again. It's so great that women are finally allowed to be funny. PS. If you haven't listened to Mary Holland's appearance on last weeks Hollywood Handbook, you should. It was such a funny and nice episode with three funny and nice people.

Yes please. Add in Dabney for holy trinity of old men.
-
Scott could play Bond's backside in a flashback scene instead! Also add James Adomian as a main villain's gay right hand man and I'm sold.
-
PFT as James Bond? I'd pay to see that. I think it would be some premium C+ content.
-
OH god, I totally forgot about that! Now it makes so much more sense that Horatio was Bitsy-Boo's manager, dumb me. Does it make me a bad fan for not remembering every single detail in CBB canon? I hope that I won't be locked in the plug bag with Jesse Ventura..
-
This was some good, uhh, content. Loved that Jarles returned so fast (#classicjarles) and the small disdain in Scott's voice when he realized who PFT was playing. I really do hope that Scott's call sheet questioning becomes a regular feature, it's almost as obnoxious as the good old "how much money you make" bit he used to make.

EPISODE 1 - A Denny's Parking Lot
zoankkambie replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
This was great! I had high hopes for the new Paulf podcast, but this exceeded them all. The opening monologue and the dulcet tones from Eban Schletter reminded me of the other Paul F. podcast where he rambles and Eban does the music (I can't believe I haven't listened to all of them yet), but the interview and improv portions of the show brought new winds to the "old format". I really loved how the improv was just a one big scene and that it revolved around the things spoken before on the p-cast. Great guests, great music and great big laughs. C+. PS. Angie's angry voice really reminded me of a certain cake maker from New Jersey.. -
Holy shit was this a delightful ep! At first I was a bit sad that PFT didn't stay for the whole episode (but his quick cameo was great), but oh boy did the Sillycone Valley boys deliver the goods. First of all I'd like to vote Thomas Middleditch as one of the all time best first timers on CBB. He was great as himself and in character, both in his goofy misspellings of words to the vast and twisted back story of Joey Tortellini. I truly hope that Joey makes a return someday. Kumail and Martin were great too and played greatly as the straight man with Scott (who was on fire) against Joey's increasingly crazy life story. But the greatest part came at the end of the episode: the phone calls to China. It's been quite some time since I laughed so hard at something so silly. And this was all thanks to Thomas' quick improv skills and "character" work. Please have him back sooner than later.

EPISODE 19 — Scott Aukerman: A Lil' Dab'll Do Ya'
zoankkambie replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
"The babies could give it a little lick if they wanted to! And that's gay stuff, no homo." This was so great. Scot... umm Dabney stayed in character surprisingly well the whole podcast, even thought he sounded winded only after couple of minutes. I laughed through the whole episode; the back and forth between Scott and Lauren is so enjoyable to listen to! PS. Boy sounded a LOT like Fourvel, wonder if this was canonical... -
EPISODE 341 — Banging the Table with Stars
zoankkambie replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I love Scott's running bit of trying to get the guest, especially first-timer, to say cunt on-air. There's something very funny and childish about Scott pushing the guest towards saying the "c-word" and then bailing on it by claiming he meant cocksucker. Anyways good episode, liked the Stars as first time guests and Claudia and Neil were good, even though the episode could have gone to weirder places (like the Tony Macaroni episode). I wonder what Jazz Jazz has to say about another barber appearing on CBB. I think Scott should have a one-time barber-off between Brian's old timey haircuts and Jazz Jazz's mouth haircuts. PS. Once again loved the adds, it was nice to hear Kumail in one of them. I've been really getting into Hollywood Handbook this past week and been absolutely loving it! -
EPISODE 341 — Banging the Table with Stars

"I love fucking, mmm." -
I liked this episode a lot, don't really understand all the criticism it is getting. Sure it went to weird places, but that's one of the reasons I love this show. I'm so happy for Todd and the baby! It was great to hear from Stallone (the kid has moxie) and El Chupacabra/Baby, it's been too long since we last heard from either of them. El Chupacabra is my favorite Kroll character, so it was a nice surprise when Nick changed character mid-show. Colin was good, even though he kind of fell into the background (but the farting cum bit was great) and Horatio came in strong, but sort of bailed on the show; like he has done previously in the live shows. As for the Hollywood Handbook discussion I decided to give them another try because I liked the ads so much in these 2 newest episodes. I previously tried to listen for an episode and didn't like it that much, but I think that was because I didn't get their shtick at first. Now I have listened to both PFT, Scott/Jeff, Kumail, the engineers and Jason Mantzoukas episodes and I have started to like the show very much. I agree that it takes a while to get in on the show, but it's worth your time; I can't wait to listen to the rest of the episodes!

It's been a long time (too long) since we heard from good old CDR announcer Lil' Gary. I'd love to hear how he and his little dog heart are doing these days.

What's your All-star CBB guest line up look like, bro?
zoankkambie replied to denimgremlin's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Oh my, this is a hard one. But here goes nothing: -Harris would be my ultimate pick for co-host, but since ghosts can't do podcasts (expect Richard Harrow) I'd choose Jason Mantzoukas -PFT as Werner Herzog or Cake Boss (Cake Boss) -Andy Daly as Cactus Tony or Don Dimello -And almost forgot my perhaps all time favorite charac: Tom Lennon as Little Garold! I'd love to see him back, he hasn't been on for so long. -
This became quickly one of my favorite PFT lines of all times, I laughed my ass off at the Scott vs. Santa fight. This episode was insanely good, perhaps one of the all time greats (great great), everyone was on the top of their game including Michael. But really, what else would you expect from an all star CBB lineup. PS. Loved PFT's callback to Scott's Irish character from Andy Daly Pilot Pardo Podcast Pilot (Morch).

EPISODE 337 — The Ying and the Yankovic
zoankkambie replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
This was the funniest line of the show, on a grepisode of so many great lines. Loved the silliness between Scottrick and PFT and Weirdo Al was great as usual. The new charac from Wengert was good, even thought he seemed to quiet down a bit at the end there. Also loved the callback to the texting one's friend when liking their work bit from the Best Of episodes. -
EPISODE 336 — NOT Farts and Procreation 4
zoankkambie replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Thank you Scott and Earwolf for putting this out, great to hear Harris on a podcast for the last time. The intro (that was a beautiful eulogy) and the ending montage of Harris' best foams and other jokes had me in tears and the episode itself had me laughing my ass of, especially during the Harris' and Adam's tv show bit. It was kind of a weird thing to listen to, because I couldn't stop thinking about Harris being gone even though I was laughing at his, Chelsea's and Scott and Scott's jokes and bits at the same time. All I can say is that this was needed and that I am very grateful that this ep was released. Motherfucker wanted to laugh.
