You need to watch this movie from 1986. It stars Kevin Bacon and he, himself, described it as "the absolute lowest point of my career", and this is only 2 years after "Footloose". The first 10 minutes are a riot as they try to age Kevin Bacon, playing a floor trader, by giving him a bad wig and a fake moustache. After losing everything, he tries to get his life together again by becoming a bicycle messenger. Jami Gertz plays what I can only generously call, a not quite high functioning mentally challenged person. A young Laurence Fishburne as well as comedian Louie Anderson also have roles in the movie, both play bicycle messengers as well. By the way, this isn't a comedy. Not it's a dramatic movie with drugs, murder, revenge, and redemption all as familiar tropes.
