    Ask Paul!

Probably not. I like that prompt the best.

I do not know what I'll do with The Book! And yeah, Eban has to bring a keyboard to Earwolf, but it's walking distance from his studio, and he's got it compressed down into a tidy little rig. If you see him ion the street, say hi!

No one has drawn in it yet! But Lauren Lapkus did write, "I hate how my handwriting looks here" on her page. I have not yet lost or misplaced The Book but am always afraid that I will. It seems inevitable. I have, on a few occasions, had to procure questions via text from people who left the studio without writing them. In all of these instances I later was able to bring The Book to them and have them write their questions on their page in their own handwriting.

This has been asked and answered! A couple times! Happy hunting!

    Ask Paul!

    This has indeed been answered!

    That's it!

I am not in charge of the Thrilling Adventure or Superego video feeds, but I do have the Spontaneanation video. I'll figure something out!

Eleanor, thanks for asking! The absolute best way you can support the show is to download it, enjoy it, and spread the word. Honestly. If you like it, tell someone you think might like it and hopefully they'll like it too. After that, buying stuff from sponsors and using my codes probably sends the best message to Earwolf. If the sponsors are happy, they are happy. But again, the more people listen to the podcast, the more sponsors we'd get, and the happier Earwolf will be. I always feel weird about asking people to donate, but it's welcome and also sends a message to the network. So if you're one of those listeners with lots of disposable income, why not donate a few bucks? You've probably spent more money on things you enjoyed less. Leave Matt Gourley alone. Eleanor, thanks for supporting the show BY LIKING IT!
  9. I must step in and say that after the show I spoke with that person and he explained he was merely trying to take a photo. I apologized! But how long do you need to frame a photo for Xenu's sake!

I do not have access to that information! But I would certainly be curious to know!

Episode 23 — Guest Host Paul F. Tompkins

It was my friend Brian Whalen.

I'd love to have Andrew Bird on the show!

I think there's SOME overlap, but I definitely wanted to start off booking interview guests & improvisers from outside the usual podcast suspects. It's really all down to personal relationships, close and extended. Lots of people on my list I haven't been able to get yet, as well as some Earwolf favorites coming up.

Whatever happens, happens. I just start talking and hope I go someplace funny.

I think it's just the natural evolution of the show. Or any show, really. It's helped to do the show so often and to record with many of the same people repeatedly, so that we all get comfortable with the format and each other, and even the studio and recording conditions. I'm flattered that you would ask, but this is not the sort of thing that I do for strangers. I wish you and your bride-to-be all the best!
  16. Hey, thank you for sharing this. I did not know much about GMOs, like a lot of people, but also like a lot of people, I had the vague idea that they were bad. The video you linked to was definitely illuminating, not just in terms of how GMOs help us, but also why it's very easy for people to misunderstand what they are. I think you're right about how rapidly things are changing and how little we are informed without having to dig for information. I think many of us have a very primal reaction to the notion of food being "modified" and that a small number of corporations are doing most of the modifications, and I'm glad Hank touched on those ideas. I'm glad I watched this, and I hope to learn more about this stuff. Thanks for posting.

It's always been encouraged, but it just so happened that the guests we had either didn't do improv or couldn't stick around. There are many more episodes coming up where the interview guest joins us!

    Ask Paul!

Oh right! I forgot about that! I haven't had a chance to listen back to the episode yet, but none of us had ANY idea at the time where it came from.

    Ask Paul!

It's really just a difference in a) sensibility and 2) scenes vs. narrative.

Diffo is terrific! I am loving his episode art. And I am really enjoying his ideas and collaborating with him on the live show posters. Yes-- at the live shows, we sell the poster for that particular show, so the one you linked to will be for sale! And wait til you see the one for November....

    Ask Paul!

Largo has called a moratorium on full-on film crews coming in-- one of the last things to be shot there was the Thrilling Adventure Hour concert film-- but a live-stream setup could be far less intrusive. It's worth asking!

Since this information is already available online, I bet I won't!
  23. Paul F. Tompkins

    Ask Paul!

I would love that. I'll investigate it. But I'd guess it's come up before and there are logistical nightmares involved.

    Ask Paul!

I would never say never in terms of changing the elements of the show, but one thing I can tell you is, there will be no post production on this show, apart from fixing any mistaken plugs-- wrong dates, canceled shows, that sort of thing. In terms of post-production FX, with all due respect to the great Mr. Sanz, no one is going to do it better than Superego. Of course, I might be biased. Sorry about having to repeatedly describe the SFX and congratulations on your obviously PERFECT LIFE.
