    EPISODE 122.5 - Minisode 122.5

Other than quite average acting, Life force is surprisingly an enjoyable film. I've been struggling to get through a lot of the films recently, but this is keeping my attention. And of course, Patrick Stewart just outclassed every other actor in this.

    EPISODE 114 — Runaway

Lois was truly the worst babysitter/caretaker I have ever seen. The first time we are introduced to it (her), there is nothing but talk of how the son wouldn't go to bed, nor would he accept eating decent food. DO YOUR DAMN JOB LOIS! Take some control!

EPISODE 111 — Hercules in New York: LIVE!

The hell, really? How did I miss that.

EPISODE 111 — Hercules in New York: LIVE!

I think it was Arnie at his best looking, and he defintely was "softer" that he would look for competitions or say how he looked in a film like predator. The fact that he didn't have every single vein popping along with his very young face and, yes, a very small waist made him look very, very good.

EPISODE 111 — Hercules in New York: LIVE!

Yeah, amazingly inconsistent. He's sees the fork lift and questions why the chariot has no horses, but has no issues with just getting into a taxi. Hell, he didn't understand the concept of actors, I guess he wasn't paying much attention to Thespis. I'm glad they described Arnold's acting as being Tommy Wisseu level bad, there are line he delivers that immediately made think of "I did nawt hit her, I did nawt". In regards to his "romance", two highlights: Firstly, Helen is speaking to her father about Hercules (around 30 minutes in), and within a single scene goes from disliking him and complaining about his actions to delivering this really odd smile and saying she would go out with him. Secondly, how long was their date? It was obviously night at the zoo, partly dark while they were in the carriage (which featured the worst camera work I have ever witnessed, I can make it through the shaky cam of Cloverfield with no problems, but that was too much), then it seemed to be early morning perhaps? The sun was definitely out. Also, Pretzies reaction shots were the greatest things I have ever seen.

    EPISODE 108.5 — Minisode 108.5

That sounds very familiar. But to be fair I didn't really want to watch Con Air again either....

    EPISODE 107.5 — Minisode 107.5

The most important thing about this film is that it managed to have one of the best actors of our generation do this: How could one not love this (terrible) film?

What Makes A Good HDTGM Movie?

Stangely, I was just reading this article today and I think it answers the question very well. http://www.avclub.com/article/paul-scheer-picks-his-favorite-ihow-did-this-get-m-92111

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

One other thought, Bridget Fonda's character was hilariously inconsistent. Her entire attitude is "I shouldn't be here, there's nothing I can do to help", but the second someone points that out she gets so defensive about it.

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

I cannot work out if Kelley has ever actually spoken to another real human in his entire life. No matter which series (or terrible film) you watch, you can tell that you are listening to a Kelley character. They do not speak like any person in the history of the world. He really does write for a "character", he is unable to write for a person.

EPISODE 106 — Deep Blue Sea: LIVE!

That is a far better explanation for destroying the window with the body of Stellar Skateboard, "stop looking at us". The other huge issue I had with this film, for being the boss, Samuel L Jackson's character appeared to have no damn clue about what his scientist was up. He had no knowledge of what the research was about, he barely even registered to being aware of what dementia was. He then arrives at the massive facility, that one would assume he signed off on in regarding to plans and money. But nope, he's just in awe and wonder with everything they are doing. I really wish I could find a boss like that, give me some cash and just somehow know what I'm doing is probably the right thing.

EPISODE 106 — Deep Blue Sea: LIVE!

In the podcast there were references to the fact that even though the sharks were smarter, they would not suddenly understand things (I think the oven was the example they were discussing at the time). Thus, I find it amazing no one mentioned the sharks taking out the cameras. Why would they, or more to the point, how would they know, what the function of a camera is, and thus there was no reason to take them out. Instead it's just "they're smart, they knew how to stop us from watching them".
