For sure. I wasn't a wrestling fan, and I was very aware of her. I also remember after she retired, she was in the celebrity version of basically any show. I remember Fear Factor in particular, but I feel like she was in a few others. In the late 90s/early 00s, she was ubiquitous.

In all the hubbub, I don't want this gem to get lost. This whole thread was worth it just for this.

Fun fact: Thin Mints are a trademarked name for the Girl Scouts. It's the only cookie that's name stays the same depending on where you get them. There are two huge bakeries that make all the cookies. That's why you see Samoas sometimes and Caramel deLites another. They're slightly different cookies with the same general ingredients; they're just made by different bakeries. Thin Mints are the only ones that have the same name across both bakeries, although the cookies are slightly different between the two. Also, Thin Mints ate highly overrated, toothpaste-tasting nonsense only eaten by garbage people

I know Paul and the HDTGM account both tweeted about it starting on Monday. Apparently, it's part (or "apart" if you're whoever tweets from the HDTGM account) of Vulture Fest. Looks like it sold out in less than a minute, and it was only one show at a tiny-ass venue.

I actually had a long debate about Domino recently. I went to a Denzel Washington Marathon, and they showed Man on Fire, so we started talking about Domino since it was Tony Scott's next film, and he used a lot of the same techniques he pioneered in MoF. Apparently, I'm in a small minority of defenders of that movie (but, then again, I love Tony Scott, and this is one of the the most Scott-iest Scott movies there is)

I used to work in a candy store in high school/college-the-first-time. I used to shovel those into my face by the bucketful. I think the problem is that disco went out the window so quickly. They started shooting all of those films in 79 while disco was still at its peak. But it went from peak to nadir so incredibly fast that by the time post was done on them, the fad had already passed. I would have hated to be in any of the marketing meetings for the studio trying to figure out how to promote these movies. I'm sure they were like, "Well, how do we lose the least money on these?"
