If you're in the US, there's a sweet site called Can I Stream It? that will tell you where you can find stuff to stream or rent: http://www.canistream.it/search/movie/4f26f86ff5f807d55700003b/perfect Looks like it's available on iTunes and Vudu at the moment.

Guys! Paul is on SPONTANEANATION today! Sooooo, go listen!
-
Did Paul mention Sir Patrick during the minisode? I feel like this is the first that I'm hearing he's in this movie. How do you not lead with that? Now I have to watch it!
-
Yeah, I didn't know Aaron was doing a Star Wars book. I'll have to check it out. I remember his Punisher MAX run, and it was pretty incredible. Nonsense. It's a minisode thread. Sidetrack away!
-
Well, he WAS on Fresh Off the Boat recently. Maybe Paul's got the inside track. E: Oh, and he even made fun of Shaq Fu on it.

For those who are curious, Jon Bon Jovi was in Vampires: Los Muertos, which was the sequal to John Carpenter's Vampires. It wasn't in space, but it was a vampire movie. Also, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that we're doing another mediocre-looking 80s movie. At least this one is a Cannon film, so maybe it will have enough bonkers shit to stay entertaining.

EPISODE 377 — Good Night In The Morning
FisterRoboto replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
There are a few that I think are strong contenders. The one with Andy Daly, LL, PFT, and the contest winner is one of my favorites. Heynong Man is of course near the top. And the Wompler birthday is up there, too. I'd really be happy with any of those winning. The contest winner one is the one that made me laugh the hardest, though. Something about Santa Claus saying "Oh, I'll fucking fight you" just gets me every time. -
EPISODE 32 - Storage Room In Back Of Hot Dog Stand

Wasn't Jim Rash Millionaire, though? -
Howl has ads on new content. The paid ad-free content is only for archives.

I think you can do it if you click "More Post Options" and use the Attach Files uploader. But I'd recommend uploading it to an image hosting site like Imgur and then linking it. That's what I usually do.

Good on Jason for calling out the loud whistler and then not letting him ask a question. If you're a whistler at a concert, comedy show, or whatever, just know that everyone in the crowd is thinking about you the same way that everyone in this crowd responded to that dude. You are the worst, and you should be kicked the fuck out. Same. I've been too busy this week to watch it (and, honestly, I'm kind of over shitty 80s movies for a bit; I hope they journey to another decade in the next ep), but the ep was wonderful and makes me want to watch it. Maybe I'll check it out before I give this ep the obligatory second listen. *Grill-Door

I didn't get to play yesterday because I got busy with some pesky work shit. Anyway, here's mine from today: 1. Bad Religion - New Dark Ages 2. They Might Be Giants - Why Does the Sun Shine? 3. Bad Religion - 21st Century Digital Boy 4. Strung Out - Wrong Side of the Tracks 5. Flogging Molly - Float Apparently, Spotify wasn't feeling very diverse...

This is the happiest day of my life. I wasn't in a band, but I hung out with mostly skate punks in high school, and it was pretty much the same thing. Hell, even if you liked the wrong KIND of punk. I literally had someone call me a because I liked Op Ivy over Agnostic Front. They're a tolerant group. Anyway, I still like a lot of that music, but like Youth Brigade, I don't go in the pit like I used to anymore. Anyway, a couple things I've really gotten to enjoy as I've gotten older (as in, music I consider good and not horrible shit that I've grown to like): Bob Dylan - I used to hate his voice but thought he was an excellent songwriter. Then someone made me go through How to Listen to Bob Dylan. It starts you at the most accessible stuff and then slowly works in a lot of the stuff that's offputting for new listeners to Dylan. Simon and Garfunkel - My dad LOVES them, and I grew up with their records on constant repeat. I never could stand them (but liked most of Paul Simon's solo stuff). Then I heard "The Boxer" a couple years ago and it was like hearing it for the first time again somehow. I must have listened to it 100 times over a couple days. Then I listened to all of Bridge Over Troubled Water before getting into the rest of it. Elton John - My old roommate made me sit down and listen to Goodbye Yellow Brick Road because I said I didn't really like Elton. Needless to say, my mind was quickly changed.

Oh, okay. They're BNL now. We need a shorthand for the Barenaked Ladies? That's how fundamental they are? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfdTnpV03p8&feature=youtu.be I'm honestly very open about my love of really bad pop music. It started when I was in college, and I had this awful commute from my night job to campus every morning. So I would listen to ridiculous-ass music because it's impossible to road rage while listening to, like, "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul. Any time I started getting upset, I would just imagine how funny of a picture it would be, and that would make the drive way less awful. Edit: I should also point out it's mostly 80s and 90s that I love. I can get down with INXS or R Kelly, but no Katy Perry for me, thanks.

Pretty sure this needs to be her new Member Title.

It's really just your excuse to disappear from the thread for the rest of the week, isn't it?
-
Very true. If you guys really want a solid deconstruction of TPM, I'd highly recommend We Hate Movies' TPM episode.

I wonder how many people tweeted Paul about the Avengers/X-Men thing:

WHAT ARE YOU DOING POSTING ON THE INTERNET WHILE THERE ARE STAR WARS MOVIES TO BE SEEN?! My theory about Luke is that he's going to intervene in the fight between Finn and Kylo Ren. We aren't going to know where he is, and he's going to show up to fight off Ren so that Finn can escape. In that scenario, though, I really hope Ren doesn't kill Luke, because it would just feel totally derivative of Obi-Wan in Episode IV and Qui-Gon in Episode I.

EPISODE 31 - Wine Tasting
FisterRoboto replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
No, but it was quite obviously me pointing out the first thing I thought of that happened on a Tuesday. Bruce was quite obviously making a joke. Of course bad things have happened on Tuesdays. It's almost like realizing something in direct opposition to the joke makes the joke even more ridiculous. But I don't know; I clearly don't understand how jokes work. -

Eban was killing it this episode. I need to listen again because I'm pretty sure I only picked up half of what he was doing. But, yeah, the Dancing Queen bit was amazing. It's so funny how Eban's music takes on a personality of its own. He's definitely the best. -

Tell me more about these jokes and how they work. -
jarrycanada or Gotta Love the Gute, we need one of you to make a poster for this.

What about Paul as Spidey? I feel like Hawkeye has a very deadpan sense of humor (which I also love), but Spidey is a bit sillier, and Paul's humor is definitely on the silly side.
-
Oh yeah! I should have mentioned that. I love that one, too!
