I remember this string of movies. I think he played a thief (or some variation thereof) in just about all of them.

It was originally meant to be the pilot episode of a Tales from the Crypt-esque TV series and it pulls together a lot of things that people like independent of one another, but for various reasons never worked when piled together. You have Christopher Lloyd in the titular role as Quicksilver and I'd love to know what the reasoning was behind dressing him up like a goth grandmother. While Lloyd does try to make his performance work to a degree, his whole getup is so off putting that it just doesn't work. It's kind of like the costume department was told to put Lloyd in a costume and they just grabbed the first thing they could find, which must have been castoffs from an old Elvira set. This film is horror, but the costuming feels somewhat random. The two bits he starts talking about are adapted from short stories by Clive Barker and Stephen King, and you'd think that this would mean that the stories would be a little bit scary or at least entertaining. They really were neither, at least from what I remember from my viewing years ago. The cast tries its hardest to make the best of everything, but it never gels together into anything that would be really watchable. I somewhat remember talking about this with my friends, who couldn't understand why anyone would get into Lloyd's trailer in the middle of nowhere, with no one around to hear you if he were to try to turn you into a woman suit or fry up your entrails for a little midnight snack.
