    Episode 127.5 - Minisode 127.5

I tried watching Streets of Fire - it turns out I drunk rated it before and I hadn't previously seen it - and I really couldn't stand it. I've seen some awful films because of this podcast and I've given up on some awful films too, like Theodore Rex and Perfect, and I guess this is another of those I'll just have to listen to the podcast and enjoy it without having seen the whole film. So, disregard my earlier advice to watch this, now I'm saying don't watch it. As if anyone cares what my recommendations for bad movies is.

    Episode 127.5 - Minisode 127.5

You know when I heard they were doing Streets of Fire I thought I'd go to imdb and check out some of the details and to my surprise I've not only seen and rated it but I gave it 7/10 so apparently I really enjoyed it, but I don't remember a single second of it. Okay sure my profile says "IMDb member since February 2004" so I could've rated this anytime in the last 12 years but for what sounds like a completely nuts film I can't fathom how I don't remember it. So what I'm saying is if you're on the fence about watching this one apparently I really enjoyed it and OofMaGOOF and Scary_Mirage on the previous page seem to remember it better than me so this may be one to watch (and in my case rewatch). EDIT: You know what, having seen the trailer just now this might be a case of drunk rating on imdb, maybe I mixed up City on Fire and Streets of Rage and Willem Dafoe in a leather jacket in The Loveless and all this got mixed up in my head. Maybe I've never seen this.

    Episode 125.5 - Minisode 125.5

Good gravy I managed to make it this far in life having never seen the Holiday Special and until last week I hadn't seen Episode II which I only caved in and watched because it was an episode on We Hate Movies. What the fuck was George Lucas up to?

    EPISODE 124.5 - Minisode 124.5

I enjoyed that one, I would definitely recommend a watch of that and the documentary that led me to that which is of course King of Kong which I thought was better but of course there is controversy over the central rivalry being largely a creation of the documentary makers in trying to create a compelling narrative. Both worth a watch though

    EPISODE 124 - Hackers

I imagine it's been delayed for whatever reason, this is a link to Blake Harris's slashfilm posts, keep an eye out there I suppose

    EPISODE 124 - Hackers

That reminds me of one of my favourite bad movies Fortress. The tagline is "A Prison of the Future. A High-Tech Hell. Built to Hold Anything... Except an Innocent Man" except the problem is he was guilty of the crime of which he was convicted, it's not the story of a wrongly-convicted man at all - he really did break the law and was sent to prison for it.

    EPISODE 124 - Hackers

I'd love it if Zero Cool is such a leet haxor that he hacked into a Gibbon, cut to a zoo enclosure and a monkey going fucking bananas

    EPISODE 124 - Hackers

I figured they hacked their school profiles to put whatever they wanted on. Of course if you're going to hack your profile you should put a dick pic on it or maybe goatse/hello.jpg - was that pic around in 1995? You know what it just occurred to me that you could say well they can hack it can't they to any problem that comes up which ends up being the equivalent of saying "a wizard did it"

    EPISODE 124 - Hackers

Motherfucker. So the Lorraine Bracco thing was not so far-fetched after all.

    EPISODE 124 - Hackers

Jason's point about gender fluidity, boys are girls and girls are boys, I'd like to say was trying to make some point about transhumanist subculture that tech types would be more into but I feel that gives the writer too much credit. The question of Nic Cage making this better is fairly redundant here since clearly he would be a better vilain than Fisher Stevens, hell I'd make a better villain than him and I'm about as threatening as cottage cheese. Also, the talk about representing something deathly dull as hacking on screen reminded me of this old SMBC comic.
  11. It's pretty great, but I rewatch the X-Files as and when he updates so maybe it's not so great if you haven't rewatched any episodes. However I would definitely recommend everyone not just you to listen to the interview episodes which don't depend on rewatching individual episodes - he interviewed Mark Snow, Glen Morgan, and Darin Morgan who has done some of my all time favourite X-Files episodes, definitely worth listening to those alone.

    EPISODE 123 - Lifeforce

You know I came here to recommend the film The Tit and the Moon. It's a legit fun film, sure it's weird as hell but that's the appeal of it. I'd say Paul should watch it and make it a Scheer's Pick, I've not seen it in years but I seem to remember there's a lot of projectile milk expressing (you know having typed that it doesn't look like the right way to phrase it but there you go). So don't be put off by the weirdness of the title and the idea, it's definitely worth checking out. Oh and there's a weird subplot about simulating blowjobs on stale bread, I've got to rewatch this.

EPISODE 122 - Death Spa: LIVE!

Yet another instance of Chekhov's blender. If you see someone fucking around with a blender in the first act it's going to kill someone in the third act.

    EPISODE 121.5 - Minisode 121.5

Wow, I finally got a comment read out on a minisode, I can die happy. And of course the best witch hunter is clearly Vincent Price.

    EPISODE 121.5 - Minisode 121.5

So, I've seen Aerobicide and Gymkata and now I'm going to watch Death Spa. If anyone asks me why I'm in such bad shape I can point to my fear of exercise and gyms.

    EPISODE 121 - Perfect: LIVE!

When I first heard of this film I thought it was the first time I'd heard of it and knew nothing of it. Then when I saw Jamie Lee Curtis in the aerobics gear and it came back to me - there was a rumour about a rumour surrounding this film. The rumour that many people have heard was that Jamie Lee Curtis was born a hermaphrodite and the rumour that I can't even find reference to on google is that the hermaphrodite rumour only came about due to this film because the leotard that Jamie Lee Curtis wears ended up giving her a visible cameltoe and so the producers insisted that she stuff her leotard to prevent this from happening and then people went to see Perfect and saw a crotch bulge and came up with the rumour that she was a hermaphrodite. Apparently google has no record of this rumour - spooky, must be Jamie Lee Curtis's lawyers covering it up.

    EPISODE 120.5 - Minisode 120.5

I couldn't make it all the way through Perfect, it's too fucking boring and so long as well. I'll listen to the podcast of course but I'd advise people here to watch the trailer and that other video of crotch thrusting that someone posted on the first page

    Episode 116.5 - Minisode 116.5

Good gravy, I just tried watching Theodore Rex but I couldn't make it all the way through even though I tried playing it at double speed to get through it. It's so stupid, so boring, so lacking in anything to keep your interest, it's just shite and not even fun. Oh well I'll listen to the episode and see if anyone can make something good out of something so indescribably bad, good luck with this one.

EPISODE 116 — Top Dog: LIVE!

Dog's-eye view camera made me want to turn off this pile of shit very early on, thank god they kept that fairly brief
  20. This week I saw a classic movie released in 1969 about a man who travels to new york where as a complete stranger out of his depth he is taken in by a poor hustler who wishes to use the stranger to make money. After some initial success at demonstrating this man's prowess he seems to lose his mojo for a time before getting it back. We watch as these two characters try to survive in the dangerous big city but by the final scene the two friends part ways. Yes, that's right I saw Midnight Cowboy

Episode 109 - FACE OFF: LIVE!

In the questions section of the show someone remarked that they would like to see a black actor and a white actor switch faces. Already been done in the great film Suture starring Dennis Haysbert as a man who has a white half-brother and after an attempt to kill him with a car bomb fails the hospital assumes he is actually his white brother and gives him the surgery to restore that face. Great movie even though it may sound silly as hell.

EPISODE 108 — Con Air LIVE!

I'm with Zouks, this is the greatest film ever made. Do you know who else agrees with us? In How to Lose Friends and Alienate People Simon Pegg's character explains just why Con Air is the best film ever made (better than La Dolce Vita)
