STUPID? HAVE YE NO SOUL? THIS MOVIE OPENED MY EYES AND MILLIONS OF YOUNG WOMEN'S EYES TO THE DANGERS OF SEX TRAFFICKING. IT SERVES A PURPOSE. I'm just giving you a hard time. I like the movie. Most of what I remember from the movie is that it made a bunch of folks aware that sex trade is a problem and a bunch of women's rights clubs were getting behind the movie and having discussions about it. That just seemed peculiar to me and I do believe there is a quick statistic thrown in at the end of the movie about sex trade.

As luck would have it, I'll be in Denver in April!!!! I'm a going to the video store.

I wish there were still video stores. Seems like online subscriptions have destroyed them. I think a video store could still work... if it was in a liquor store. I don't care what anyone says, The Last Starfighter is a damn good movie. A trailer park kid plays an arcade game and ends up saving the world. Perhaps, I'm not high on Spielberg and Rogen any more. Spielberg has done a lot of good things but his recent portfolio includes works that have way too much in common with the contents of a plastic bag full of dog feces. I like Seth Rogen in moderation though, just don't know that I would like his vision for The Last Starfighter.

The movie's only redeeming quality is Jon Lovitz's reaction to the picture/projector when he says, "It's a painting again." I'm of the belief that he was just watching what was occurring and was flabbergasted by this witchcraft and reacted by saying "It's a painting again." I like to think Jon Lovitz never watched Mr. Rogers and had been ignorant of this technology up to the Stepford Wives point.

In all fairness, they didn't have metal detectors in 1991.

As a fan of this movie, flaws and all, I must correct you. Billy Blanks as Billy Cole commits suicide in Cleveland OH. The LA Knights are playing the Cleveland team at Cleveland in the opening. The Knights finish up at home and SPOILER ALERT: Bruce Willis does a jig at the end.

Anything with Patrick Warburton in it is a delight.

I hate myself, so I just watched this. It wasn't so bad that I couldn't watch it in one sitting. Hayden Christensen is far from the worst actor in the movie. The accents are all over the place in this movie. There's a pretty bonkers scene where Nic Cage is walking around holding snakes threatening to use them as weapons. I like to think he improvised that. Watching it in 3d, a luxury I didn't have, probably improves the writing, acting, and directing of the film.

"Because You Watched..." Netflix suggestions that miss the mark

Netflix has some Kristen Wiig movie picked out for me. How am I the only one that knows that her and Molly Shannon are the same person? People like Kristen Wiig but not Molly Shannon, when they shouldn't care for either. In moderation she's okay. -
As a citizen and resident of the United States of America, it disappoints me that all there there is nothing near as exciting to watch in theaters here as there are around the world. Although, I might just be going to the wrong theaters.

On the topic on films with subtitles, some of best movies I recently learned about and watched have been subtitled. I gotta say for a culture that brought us that guy that wears a suit, sunglasses, is a little chubby, and does a silly dance like he's strattling and lasso'ing all at the same time, Korean movies are pretty sweet. I definitely enjoyed Oldboy, The Host, and Thieves.

I endorse figuring out how this got made. I think the majority of the movie is Randy Travis trying to write songs.

Yes, I hate it so much I don't like to bring up the name.

You mean to tell me that Black Dog is HDTGM material? This is a shock to me. In all seriousness, I'd be pumped if they did Black Dog. After this minisode, do I need to rent or buy Top Dog?

Color me 50 shades of excited.

The film wasn't made for critics. I'm no movie critic and I really enjoyed it. Critics don't always know what they are talking about. They once rated a movie highly that I detest so much I won't even mention it by name. The movie even had Bryan Cranston and Ron Perlman in it and they couldn't redeem it.

I recently watched this movie and it is not a bad movie. I enjoyed it. It's smart, it's funny, and I really do enjoy the talents of Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael, two of the sweetest in the business. They're not the two leading people that I expect to see in an R rated comedy and that's why I think there are so many critical opinions of this movie. I don't usually agree with critics on what is a good movie or not. This movie wasn't made to cater to general audiences. If it's good enough for June to plug, I recommend giving it a watch. It's on Netflix. (SPOILER ALERT) I loved that the wrapped everything up with a song by my favorite artist, Ingrid Michaelson. I'm not ashamed to admit, I love her music. Wrapping everything up with an Ingrid Michaelson song gives the movie bonus points in my mind.

I think I'm going to try watch this. It doesn't seem like it was very well received but I do like both Casey Wilson (Happy Endings was a great show and ABC can choke on a bag of Richards for canceling it) and June Diane Raphael. I think I'll enjoy it if all the jokes and funnies aren't vulgar. Don't get me wrong, I do like vulgar jokes but if a comedy only consists of vulgar jokes I get bored quick.

EPISODE 115 — Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
Maximilian replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I got a good chuckle out of this. I may have laughed too much. I spend a lot of time wondering what Craig Kilborn has been up to. It doesn't quite keep me up at night but it seems like he's not been up to a lot since he stopped being on tv past my bedtime. Perhaps he really did (SPOILER ALERT) run his Porsche off a bridge into Jeremy Piven in 2003 and disappear from the world. -
A bunch of bad words!!!!! I wonder how much Ed Helms is being paid to deficate on Leslie Neilson's work.

Are you a captor of souls? I don't mean to brag, unless I do so humbly, I am on the pro circuit of sharks and minnows. -

I think it's safe to assume you're not a dental hygienist. You're probably not a quality control expert for a brewery, you don't seem that lucky, no offense. Are you a professional polo player? You'd have to have a pot of gold to play polo full time. -
I did that thing where I watch the trailer and set my expectations very very high because it looks like a movie that I would love and was a little disappointed. I probably need to rewatch it.
