Me too! Also, I find an unbridled belly laugh from a woman to be kind of sexy. Not to be a pig, I'm not trying to reduce her to whether or not I find her attractive; but have we really gotten to a point where we can't even say someone is attractive without being called sexist?

Oh, and I bet the franchise is Star Wars? All the BB8 references and all...

Not to join the bitchfest, but I've always felt alone as one of the few people I've ever met who fucking HATES Grease. I won't watch the movie, but look forward to the episode all the same. I'll let J-Man, Big Paul, and the beautiful June watch it for me and give me the gist.

I joined less than a year ago for the sole purpose of communicating with hosts and fellow listeners of my favorite podcasts. I think I've had enough interactions with Paul Scheer, Matt Gourly, and Amy Nicholson to feel validated as a worthwhile human being.

Is it wrong that I find this like ridiculously hot?

I'm surprised to learn that the scene where "Cyboman" shows up at Jobe's shack wasn't in the theatrical release, because that's the version I watched over and over as a kid and I'm pretty sure I taped it off of cable. That means Showtime [or whatever channel we had] would have been playing the director's cut? Also it seems like much was made about Jobe's "goal" being able to ring all the telephones in the world at once, but I always took the phones ringing as more of a signal that he had achieved his actual goal of being connected to everyone in every part of the world. I don't think his entire objective was just to ring all of the world's telephones.

Ugh! I remember every ten-year-old singing "let's get fucked!" like they thought of it themselves. No genius, that is the actual double entendre being made here.

I don't know about "objectively good," but my wife isn't really into the kind of ugly, irritating music I am. Like The Fall, The Birthday Party, The Locust, etc. I also have a profound emotional connection to 80s synth pop she doesn't seem to share (like Forever Young by Alphaville). However, we both love The Pixies, The Beatles, The Breeders....

Same. I deleted Super and Theory of Everything because I haven't seen them. Also, recently showed my kids NeverEnding Story, and I have cried twice when Artex sinks in the Swamps of Sadness.

Fuck YES!!!! I have seen this movie SO many times as a kid. I haven't seen it in forever, but just like Over The Top and Secret of the Ooze, when they do a movie I saw a gajillion times as a kid I always end up loving it that much more. I thought I remembered that! And I've read the short story. They only thing they used was the "birdbath" scene. I thoughed I remembered King's name being attached to it, but couldn't find reference to that on Wikipedia or anywhere else; so I'd begun to assume that they threw the birdbath thing in there because there happened to be a King story with the same title. I'm going to try to re-watch this one for the episode. I can't WAIT!!!!

I searched this forum before posting a recommendation for Santa Claus: the movie. I feel it's perfect for all the reasons listed above. Lithgow is bat-shit. The movie posits a world in which children are still primarily playing with wooden toys in the 1980s. This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, and I still love it. I didn't mind Christmas with the Kranks. Great track by The Raveonettes, Jamie Lee Curtis in her underwear still looking fine AF.

This could potentially be a great holiday episode. As with several of the films featured on the show, it's actually one of my favorite movies in spite of [and because of] how bat-shit insane and kind of stupid it is. The premise is: a killer calls into a live New Year's countdown show and says he's going to kill someone every time each time zone reaches midnight. If I remember right, he plans to kill the host of the show when the final time zone changes [i can't remember which coast that is, and I'm not going to look it up]. Any other fans out there? Oh, and the theme song is actually pretty awesome.

I miss the show. I used to look forward to it every week. Now I click back and forth from How Did This Get Made? and I Was There Too, and I feel like something is missing. Then I remember "Oh yeah, The Canon. I wish there were more episodes." This will probably be a very unpopular opinion given the climate out there right now, but I think Devin could even come back. Maybe he could offer an apology to everyone he's hurt at the top of the first episode back. Or maybe Amy could continue the show with another co-host, but hopefully someone who is likely to disagree with her often so that we don't lose the dynamic of the show. I don't know, and it might be too soon for everything to have been worked out. But I really miss The Canon.

Besides, Hobo With A Shotgun shouldn't even be an episode. It's sort of a "so bad it's good" on purpose. Doesn't that kind of take the fun out of it? I mean, I know they did two or three Sharknadoes, but still.

I never made it all the way through this movie. I hate football, and there's just too much football in it. I don't know if this is only in the director's cut, but I seem to remember a scene where Jamie Fox and another guy are smoking crack while getting BJs, and some other woman comes in and screams, "Hey, he has AIDS!" The woman giving him head yells "You asshole!" and he starts laughing. ??? Did I imagine that?
