EPISODE 112 — Jupiter Ascending

Agreed, burn the mashup theme straight to the ground. Listening to it makes me embarrassed that I listen to HDTGM. I actually like that interpretation of it. The only thing I would point out is that the animated Anastasia film was a Don Bluth affair, not Disney. And of course my biggest bugbear with the podcast is kind of just addressing my favourite line in the whole damn movie: Jason and Paul complained that after Caine walks away, she repeats "I love dogs" like a space cadet as if she's convincing herself. I saw it more as reinforcing the "just your average girl" characterisation of JJ, by trying to give her that Bridget-Jones-esque adorkableness. I say "trying", more to acknowledge that some probably consider it ham fisted wheras I personally loved it. -
EPISODE 111.5 — Minisode 111.5

To channel our favourite HDTGM host... "...I loved it." I saw this when it was at the pictures at the beginning of the year, and I was dying to see it because of how awful it was. Eddie Redmayne's raspy 50-pack-a-day characterisation was worth price of admission alone. Also, this tumblr contribution: REBLOG if you have NEVER BEEN STUNG BY BEES and are therefore SPACE ROYALTY -
You probably did say it, admittedly it was my first John Woo film (edit: second, actually, I didn't realise Paycheck was his but I barely remember that movie anyway).

Ahoy hoy, not to flog a dead horse or anything but I just spent the last two months listening to HDTGM from scratch, and am now all caught up. Usually I just listen to the podcast and don't bother watching the movies, but Con Air and Face/Off I just had to see. And wow, this was something else. Just a little observation I made, that no one else brought up, but I loved the almost arbitrary use of a harpoon gun to kill Travolta as Caster Troy. Cage as Sean Archer finally scored his "white whale" that he'd been chasing for so many years on his revenge journey.

Why did they change the theme song?
RebeccaRandall replied to Ribelin2000's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I definitely prefer the rap to the old HDTGM song. It's more in tune than the old theme song for starters. Actually, a lot of the segment theme songs have improved over time. I'm kind of grateful.
