DAMMIT! I had a C+ joke queued up about Elon Musk being inspired to start Space X after seeing the end of Dragonheart. I think from a high level view Dragonheart was a pretty good candidate. A kids movie with a lot of murder and an attempted rape and plenty of world building inconsistencies. But from a minute to minute view maybe not ridiculous enough. Well as Bill Belichick would say on to The Boy Next Door. Hopefully he is an HDTGM listener.

Let's Talk About Your Favorite Tour Moments!

Pamela from Big Bear's hatred of Scott was a stand out. -
The delightfulness was turned up to 11 this week. How did the CEO of Jack Threads not just hire Howard to replace his entire marketing team? One man who was doing the work of many.

This was a fantastic episode. Tom was one of the quieter guests but all of his input was great. I'd say my biggest issue not addressed in the podcast was the relationship between Mother and his secretary. At the end of the movie she is hand feeding him cookies. In an earlier scene she is standing behind him massaging/caressing his shoulders while he is speaking. I need to know more about what they've got going on. The fact that Father's blindness only came into play during a croquet game was a nice little extra dash of nuts into this movie. And what was the point of that scene? To show that Connery is not only the big villain he is also the petty villain? I will say for all of this movies many many failings I think it can actually work as a pretty solid comedy if every time someone says "Steed" you imagine they are saying "Steve" instead. That is how I misheard it at first. Steve is fairly low on my scale of funny names. But said as they were saying Steed it becomes excellent.

Howard got everyone excited pretending Kulap was there with him. I'd love it if we could get a live Who Charted down south. I hate that I missed the after show. I never knew 529 had comedians.

I would say up to this point I think everything Hayes and Sean have ever said on HH is good and right and sometimes funny but that isn't the point to be funny they are just trying to help people out. So I don't know how they could be so wrong about the pronunciation of Bunnicula. #TeamDaly #HayesAndSeanBadReadingGuys

I believe the line "I think I'm seeing double." or some slight variation on that was said about 15 times in the movie. I think the screenwriter would vote for that line.

This was my first (and definitely last) time watching The Avengers. If you haven't seen it yet I'd recommend watching it dubbed in a foreign language that you don't understand. The story you make up as you watch it will be far more coherent.

Episode 136 - Hell Comes to Frogtown: LIVE!
ChunkStyle replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
If that is the case then I'd say it was a real missed opportunity to not explore some relationships between those who mutated to frogs and those who didn't. Friends and families now living in two separate worlds. The filmmakers could have made this thing Oscar bait. -
Episode 136 - Hell Comes to Frogtown: LIVE!

I hate to defend this movie. I think they said 68% of the male population died. And almost everyone who survived is infertile. So I have a question about the origin of the frog people. Were these once normal human beings who got mutated into frog creatures? Or were they frogs who went through the classic "ninja turtle" mutation model into bipedal intelligent creatures? I think it was the second one. Which I would say is another big big mark against the Provisional Government. Out of this war comes the most amazing thing to happen in the history of science and they just treat this newly intelligent species like crap and throw them on a reservation. -

I think this movie could make a great example entry in the slang dictionary for "Has No Chill". The Provisional Govt wants to repopulate their country for the express reason of continuing to fight a war that has already essentially destroyed the planet. No Chill. -

Audition tape for Perfect 2. I am assuming the producers couldn't get Travolta and Curtis back for the sequel. -

Sandahl "Do You Want To Live Forever" Bergman deserved better than this movie. Hopefully the coffee on set was good. -

When the apparently feral woman was totally normal after a night with Rowdy Roddy I could only think of the song "I Heal With My Steel" from Earwolf family member and HDTGM alum Howard Kremer. -
Yes my comment was very tongue in cheek it is always fun regardless. And now with the Paul Ask phone line there is no way to complain. If you don't trust Paul to deliver your message you can do it yourself.

2nd ANNUAL HOWDIES - COMING SOON & WE NEED HELP
ChunkStyle replied to paulscheer's topic in How Did This Get Made?
The windshield repair options available in Massachusetts from the Covenant wrap up mini-sode. -
I'm with Fister. Mine that he read for this minisode he was dropping out words, cutting out jokes, and making me sound like a real asshole. Which is accurate. But I don't need any help with that.

Maybe Roger had to hit the bottle sometimes to review some of these films. I can say with experience most HDTGM movies go better with a drink.

For what it is worth according to the movie subtitles it was Tchigani.

I think Scott should specifically name which forum members that he doesn't want to have the Earwolf studio address.

I will freely admit that finding a glowing telepathic ball should be the #1 topic of conversation. But I feel like if I was Daniel I would have thrown in a "Hey, not for nothin', but I found Bodhi in a pool of water in a big cave with water dripping from the ceiling. Might be a lot of water over there."
-
So has Bodhi done something of note on Earth before? It would seem so because for there to be a legend about it Bodhi must have done some big stuff in the past. But what did it do exactly? The Sand Nazis seem pretty knowledgeable about it so were they fighting against Bodhi in year 0? That opening voice over says he will return to "free the waters once again". I could read that as Bodhi will free the water a 2nd time OR Bodhi, for the 1st time, will free the water to make it as it once was. The latter makes more sense but either way I am still very confused. What I am driving at is in addition to Solarbabies: Rogue One we are also going to need Solarbabies: Episode 0 :: The Sandy Menace to explain Bodhi's past deeds and the rise of the Protectorate.

The name saying super-cut was great. As I was listening I thought they should have slipped in a "Damn, Daniel" in the middle.
