Gaps in the Official Narrative starting to tell their own story
PutsomeJellyonit posted a topic in Hollywood Handbook
Something is really not right here. I know I'm not the only one who is skeptical of the Official Narrative. I just know it. We're told there's some new players in town, big money types, lots of horse trading and wife swapping and whatnot, some cigar chomper wins Earwolf in a poker hand. Fine. Anyone get a look at his cards? Guy I know, sort of a concierge? Tells me it was a bluff. Says Scripps had the podcast guys read soon as they got off the bus. Says he heard from the guy's driver it was a truly hostile takeover - 2 of hearts and a 6 of clubs. Ouch. Weβre told that a certain Earwolf Manjack died from a turkey bone stuck sideways in his throat. Convenient, no? I mean, it's an open secret what he was doing with the residuals from the podvertising - the poultry habit was practically legendary. Except I know a guy, he knows how to find interesting documents. Did you hear Mr. Manjack was nursing a case of walking pneumonia when he died? I read every newspaper I could get my hands on for three months, never heard a thing about that. We're told our stalwart hosts got instructions from the new higher ups, sort of a loyalty test. That friend you buried a month back? We want him. Don't tell us how, just do it. If you want to make corpse reanimation the story, fine. Obviously it captured the 24 hour libtard news cycle, endless chatter, moral finger wagging. Convenient distraction after convenient distraction. Just got a call, gotta finish this later. If you read this far, if you can keep an open mind... Look I don't want to be right about this, know what I mean? I just need help with connecting the dots, I'll be back on later with some things I found. I hope- 7 replies

Biological? We know they each have mysterious backstories shrouded in mystery. Hayes grew up in a firehose for Pete's sake. I know they're not twins but it's not impossible theyre at least cousins. Or maybe you meant their moms who raised them. "Hey Janelle, what's wrong with Wolfie? I can hear him barking. Is he ok?"

Actually my number one most best would be Parnell

Is the show actually in danger of being cancelled?

Of course they are. I love them -
And to round out this dream team: Danny McBride, the Broad City Babes, Amy Sedaris, Key and Peele, Claudia Doherty, Mel Brooks and my friend Anne Poler

Also Bobo Denkirk

I'm a relatively new disciple to The Book of Hand of Wood of Holly. I've noticed as i'm catching up on episodes that the ads seem to take up more time and energy, but what caught my ear most was that episodes literally start with ads, i.e, messages from the hosts before the episode begins, like "hey everyone, before we begin..." It's one thing to take a break for an ad, it's another to hit play and not hear some intro drum-clap-drumdrum-clap-MegRyan I also get the feeling that ads are creativity sinks. Sometimes hosts just sound tired when they're reading ad copy. I understand the novelty and feeling of 'connection' we get with this format. But there are some serious unmeasurable, intangible consequences of this. Pandora's ads are lousy, hell most ads are boring. Hollywood handbook, as usual, set the bar really high with what an ad could be. My concern is that putting so much energy out, for a joke, but on behalf of a company, turns people off from the art. Like how The Onion 'sponsored' articles are somehow less funny to me. Full disclosure, i've never bought any of the products i heard on the show. Im not opposed to it, its just stuff i dont care about. I hope that day comes. And i dont think it's easy to make this work, and i appreciate earwolf and everyone working hard to get a good business model up and running. Aloha-- -

Episode 95 β Mike Still, Our Close Friend

Dear Tom Scharpling, I assume you're on the forums so we can cut out the S+H middlemen and I can ask you questions directly. How are you? How are things? -

Did they have a bunch of discs for various scenarios? Like distance drivers, putters, dog legs, mid range hybrid rollers? Did the discs have names like Pegasus, Delta Mega Drive, Hibiscus Ultra, Luftwaffe 4 Limited Pro? Did they describe at length each disc's attributes and their experiences using them, in graphic detail? They're over here by me too. We call them baggers. They never seem to have fun. -

anyone notice that the engineers are almost conspicuously silent on the birthday issue? do you think they're planning a really big, exciting surprise? do you think maybe they got in over their head, and probably way over budget, and aren't going to have it ready in time? do you think the Engineer Seminar they claim to be at was supposed to be a party, but now it's just a big empty room with a group of guys having a serious panic attack? -

Dear Handbook, My school is making me take a sports next semester. While I appreciate their concern for my health, (I already look pretty decent from a couple angles) I don't want to let this get in the way of my dream of becoming a media mogul. In your experience, would you say more big deals are sealed on the golf course, squash court, archery range or some other sports place? Thank you

That's what I said! But my guidance counselor said I'd have to take Intro to Sports, in the summer, with the incoming freshmen... :-/ Not really much of a choice

Episode 94 β Hayley Huntley, Hayes' Daughter
PutsomeJellyonit replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Well many pants are gonna come equipped with a button or zipper, so if you're experiencing a temporary phallic surplus you can adjust the settings and reduce any unwanted pressure. This does not apply to some types like sweatpants, O.R. scrubs and many types of sports pants. Or it may not be unwanted pressure after all -

Howdy friends, First, please accept my flattery. HH is some next level shit, and yall are clearly up on that by even being here. I feel like I'm now living in a Post-Handbook world, in that I find it very difficult to pretend to like other podcasts because "good" has been redefined. And if someone says they enjoy this show, I therefore automatically enjoy that person because they are dialed in, locked on and pencils sharpened. I'm wondering: is there a dedicated space for popcorn gallery questions? popcorn@hollywodhambook.com? do i tweet at the guys? snail mail? courier? thank you what up what up peace

Hello I have a popcorn related question
PutsomeJellyonit replied to PutsomeJellyonit's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Hello Sean, Hayes, and Sean again. Maybe I'm just popcorn challenged, I'm fine with that, I'm not even upset, I won't even take it personally, I'm happy, things are good, I'm looking at the bright side, I'm really making an effort, I'm visualizing success. Is it too late to ask tracey wigfield a question? Also do you keep in touch with zoe jarman? I'm not looking for dates or anything, i mean i'll go on dates with them, but i'm not putting myself out there, you know? if it happens it happens, that's my thing. all my best relationships have been when i wasn't even looking. that sort of thing. if you get a really good popcorn question from, say, a new listener who is catching up on old episodes, and just heard, say, the kumail episode while he was mowing the lawn, and had a really on-point question to ask, but then realized the episode is three months old, what's the procedure on that? do you guys ever hang with kumail? i bet he'd be down for a barcade type thing. i have a video game-based question. anyhoo, i'm not even worried about it. bye Hayes! thanks! -

With respect and such, that setup I'm looking at the Episode 92: Fans our Fans thread, and it's not showing many popcorn questions. Furthermore, do you know what day they record the show, i.e. is there a popcorn deadline?
