What a slam on Tatiana Maslany, who is equally and collectively nice and Canadian.

Hindsight is 20/20 on the name thing. I think a circus ringmaster, I used it 2 years ago but at a different party so none of the people I'm partying with will have seen it. That sounds like the greatest movie marathon to me That's legit the worst. The description makes me feel very sad. This isn't what Halloween is about.

Episode 145 - Vampire Academy (w/ Michael Showalter, Aisling Bea)
EllenM replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
As 24 Hour PartyPizza mentioned, people eventually turned into vampires and there was no thought to what would happen when vampires overcame humans at the critical mass point. Ethan Hawke's character was a researcher developing a blood substitute. When the movie first begins, you see that there are dozens of humans being farmed in vertical Matrix-like apparati. After Hawke goes missing and we check back in with the evil boss of the blood company, we see the number of human bodies dwindle, putting the focus on finding Hawke and the humans he joined. -

That tweet is everything I truly enjoy Daybreakers. I thought it was an interesting take on a vampire movie. -

I watched the movie after listening to the podcast and fuck, I was more confused. It starts so abruptly I thought that the file didn't download properly and I missed some stuff. My C&O would be about the crew's understanding of compulsion and glamouring. Compulsion was correctly used in this case, in what Lissa did to the whole goddamn school. Glamouring, not glimmering, is when a vampire can change their appearance or shape. The best example would be in the novel, Dracula and the film, Bram Stroker's Dracula. In the novel, Dracula changes into a mist and a dog (those are off the dome, haven't read it recently). In the movie, when Dracula looks like young Gary Oldman and then the werewolf-like thing after he's compelled Mina's friend to sex him. Whenever Dmitri showed up, all I could see was Tommy Wiseau. It was distracting. I was pumped when I saw Cameron Monaghan, loved him in Gotham and Shameless. I'm curious if Ms. Karp, now strigoi, can use her spirit magic? If so, to what effect or end? Did I miss the part where it said "When you become strigoi, you become immortal. Trade off though, no more magic. Byeeee!" -
Thanks for the shout out! School is back but I also didn't really have anything to add to this movie... Because I finally listened to HAMILTON! I can't find it now but I remember reading an article about how the number of people who are actually afraid of clowns has remained the same versus people who only say clowns scare them because of It exclusively had grown. I'm legit scared of clowns because of an episode of Power Rangers. The Yellow Ranger had to bring her little sister along to the carnival but then they got lost/separated. Rita Repulsa sent down a minion in the shape of a clown and his power was turning people into cardboard cutouts of themselves. Obviously the Rangers won and the sister was turned back to normal. Seriously...fuck you, clown.

I caught this by accident at like 1 am on a movie channel because I saw Marguerite Moreau and she was my favourite Mighty Duck. To this day, when I see Stuart Townsend's name, I immediately replace it "Uma Thurman's ex". The only other thing I know him from is League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (which I unironically love) Goblet and Baldur? Question, thrice in a row? Either my way answer is: Option B. Troy thrice. It came out when I was in early puberty. It was a formative experience for me so this movie is very dear. Eric Bana can get it all day erry day.

Sorry for the double post but we have a new addition to the Skateboard acting dynasty! Meet Ball Skateboard

Alexander....maybe if you forgot a few letters and it turns into Elixir Skateboard?

I wouldn't classify this movie as a "palette cleanser". You'll want to watch some Hannibal crack vids after, you know to lighten with mood with MurderHusbands and #casualcannibalism

Sorry, Auden. I don't know how to make it smaller.

1. Remember when he got catfished? I let that slide, separating the man from the character but now I'm like "Naww" 2. Agreed, so sexy. I was a little peeved when Reid jumped in to save Hotch from himself. 3. I am made of questions. See below 4. Getting robbed is cray. It came up on my Facebook trending bar. 5. I think that Aisha Tyler will get the female boost and CBS will default write Joe Mantegna as No. 1 and Reid will be No. 2. But now I have questions about the balance of the team because they're going to need to put another dude in there. 6. Don't you know multiple blonde/brunette white women are easier to find than a single brunet white guy? My thinking is this: So Hotch will be in the first 2 episodes for sure, they've been shot already. How to make the exit though? They aren't going to bring him back to kill him and he likely wouldn't do that either. Promotion to a different position/agency makes no sense given how many times he has fought to keep the team together. They could use a need of Jack's to be the scapegoat, like he needs to go to a new school. On the other hand, there are at least 20 serial killers he caught now on the loose. Maybe they will take the easy way out and have a serial killer kill him and Jack and they just won't show the bodies? That feels unsatisfying even as I type it. Next, Rossi gets the Number 1 slot with Reid as the new Rossi. This is weird, I know. Perhaps Cruz will drop by for team evaluations and work on some cases with them. There will be at least 2 episodes between the loss of Hotch and the Replacement!Hotch. Like Emily Prentiss, there will be an episode where a dude shows up and everyone is like "I don't know about this" then VERY slowly gains the trust of the team. There's been so much trauma in these people's lives over 10 years (in real time?) that they can't afford to get close to Replacement!Hotch. I think Replacement!Hotch will be non-white and be closer in age to Rossi, just a gut feeling. I know he'll have some dark secret driving him to do this work but part of me wants him to be well-adjusted and normal, having nothing horrific happen in his background. If he's non-white, I understand the unlikeliness of this. Will Joe or Aisha get the "and" credit in the opening? I think it will look like this, based off of the Season 11 opening credits: Joe Mantegna Matthew Gray Gubler A.J. Cook Kristen Vangsness With Replacement!Hotch And Aisha Tyler Honestly looking at it, MGG could get the "with" and the new guy could take #2. There's my hot take. -

AUDEN! What do you think about the earth-shattering CM news today? All I could think about was how happy I was that we're never going to see Jack again. -

The only romantic/sexual relationship I felt had any weight in Suicide Squad was Deadshot and Rick Flagg. I'd watch a movie about them on their next mission. They've hooked up a few times on previous missions. After every one, Rick escorts Deadshot to see his daughter for a few hours. Flagg starts calling in favours to extend father-daughter time, maybe a Skype set up in his cell, it can only be initiated by the daughter (as the safety precaution, Flagg tells his superiors). Soon the daughter becomes interested in Flagg, he starts to sit down and the three of them work on math and science homework using military and special ops examples to make things relatable. She can see there's something between them (who doesn't at this point?) One day, his daughter Skypes him and in the middle of it, she's kidnapped Taken-style. It's the guy who he charged double at the beginning of Suicide Squad. They get the whole squad back and this time, it's personal. At the end, the Squad minus Deadshot and Rick get the girl, D&R kill the kidnapper, they meet at the pre-determined location. She sees Deadshot and yells for her dad. He goes running to her and they hug like never before. Rick is still standing in the doorframe, she looks up and raises her hand, gesturing for him to join them. I just wrote Suicide Squad 2. -

The music cues were so on the nose that I was trying to figure the antonym of subtext. Only could come up with text but feel it was more obvious than that. -

Yeah he was a dead man walking. It was unfortunate. The soundtrack must've cost a fortune and they should've spent that money so much better. To throw Bohemian Rhapsody at the end felt like such an afterthought. A couple brought a literal baby to the 4:30 show and they sat close to the front. Super cute and surprisingly kept it together for the majority of the movie but everyone, myself included, stared the mother down as she and the baby left the second time. I was more focused on the father who didn't get up once. -

I was broken up with on Friday. This movie surprisingly helped me yesterday. Also saw Suicide Squad, I just have no good will for DC anymore.
