Holy shit guys, this trailer is terrifying. Stephen King looks insanely creepy. Edit: Oh my god, Paul read my comment. I am literally freaking out right now.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Do I expect a shot-for-shot remake of the glory that was Roadhouse? No but hopefully there will be some continuity/winks to the predecessor. On the other hand, I don't see where they are going to set this movie. I can't imagine it being set in the 80s/90s, which is part of what makes the original great. Who does everyone this should play the Sam Elliot-mentor character?

That or, "Look, I can't be bothered to go back and remember what happened in the other movies...no offence, Letty."

Is that what she also calls her computer folder that she tries to hide stuff in? I can't remember what ep Paul said June had a secret computer folder

I completely agree! Jason and Adam could just say "Guys! Seriously, guys did you see what just happened etc" and I would see it in theatres multiple times. If that were to happen to me, you could not make me stop talking about. I once fell down a flight of stairs and didn't spill my sandwich or drink and I was still talking about it for weeks afterwards. Also the audience questions were all really great. The Streetfighter call back was probably my favourite though

About them all living together, I always assumed that Brian and Mia lived there and Dom just kept his car in the garage. Like, the garage is a guest bedroom or your old room when you visit your parents. Also, who looks after the house when they aren't there? When Mia is in DR or when they went to Brazil, do they have friends from the Race Wars check to see if there's water in the basement etc?

Not all the way through yet but the clips they've pulled so far have confirmed it. Vin Diesel does not say a line/sentence longer than 8 words. 8 words guys!

I could be wrong but I do remember it was supposed to be Fast 5 and Furious 6 as well. Not sure whatever happened to that though.

The Most Watchable How Did This Get Made Movies?
EllenM replied to shaquillemacneil's topic in How Did This Get Made?
My top 5 (in no particular order, excluding franchises) 1. Roadhouse 2. The Devil's Advocate 3. Burlesque 4. Deep Blue Sea 5. Drive Angry These 5 encompass everything I want in a movie: great music, sharks and fires. I never suspect the pyro-work in any of these films -
Two wrongs don't make a right, fair enough. But two wrongs do make a hard right with the E-brake so that the cops on the take don't get you and your familia. That's movie math.

How dare you...I can never unsee that now. This movie is still awesome though. I would love it if instead of Nick Cage, they asked if Zouks as the local garage owner would have made it better.

You say this like it's a bad thing. Obviously, the traditional means of diplomacy and official political channels aren't working and Kurt Russell needs to think outside the box. This is the only logical conclusion to that train of thought. They already have a proven work record with Hobbs and as long as they keep it under what I'm assuming is an unlimited/black budget with minimal good guy casualties, the Turettos/O'Conners are the only names to call on.

What film got you into the podcast?
EllenM replied to Cockney Mackem's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I was a late-comer to the Fast and Furious franchise, I had only seen 2 Fast 2 Furious because it was on MuchMusic all the time. My buddy loved the movies and got me hooked, then told me about the podcast. As a Parks and Rec fan, listening to Adam Scott was too good to resist. HDTGM was the very first podcast I ever listened to and I'm so happy about that. -
What film got you into the FORUM?
EllenM replied to PlanBFromOuterSpace's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Furious 7 for me. I've been listening forever but I felt I never had anything to contribute to the amazingness that already existed on the forums. I'm taking the plunge now because this movie is literally flawless. This movie to me is like Con Air to Jason. -

I already concede, issues was too strong of a word. It's more of a comment that my Dad mentioned when we saw this movie and I confirmed it when I went the second time. The second viewing confirmed that the film is glorious and nothing could take away the beauty that is this masterpiece of cinema.

I've been listening to this podcast for a year now and finally broken into the forums, just for this movie. I'm so excited, I saw this in theatre twice in one week when it came out and I already have a couple issues to bring up. Ride or die, motherfuckers. Let's do this!
