    Episode 130 - Teen Witch

Great episode! My only gripe is that we didn't get any "June theories". I was hoping Deanna would take up the family torch but it was not meant to be... When Hats called that guy "funky", I winced. To me, funky is akin to moist or juicy. The word just makes me cringe. And not to bring up the last minisode issue again but... The first is BertramCooper's, the second is from the article I posted, and the third is literally what I said. Am I being really sensitive to this stuff now? Because I'd like to know what the line is between mini-episode conversations and regular episodes in terms of repeating information.

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit that I regretted that post about as soon as I hit "post". It was catty and unnecessary, not at all along the lines of the maxi-pad malfeasance, the Gus from Breaking Bad botheration or lately the Jim Steinem situation. In the words of my people, BertramCooper...

All I could think of after seeing this is Rebecca Black's Friday, sitting in the back seat

Robin Lively did an interview with Buzzfeed the other day all about Teen Witch. Fun fact: Robin and her brother re-enacted the dance scene for her sister Blake and Ryan Reynolds's wedding reception. http://www.buzzfeed.com/jarettwieselman/robyn-lively-on-the-spell-teen-witch-has-cast-for-25-years#.wp5PeRjoa

Episode 129 - The Apple: LIVE!

All I need is enough eps to make the 2nd "Annual" Howdie Awards. I feel like I've come up with a couple interesting categories since the last one. I also need a supercut of every time Jason, the guest or the audience references Jacob's Ladder. I'm a rational adult (at least, by the legal standard) but I watched Interstellar the other night and the thought of HDTGM ending brings me to this...

In my despair of podcast feed not updating for 2 days, I checked and FACE/OFF is finally on Canadian Netflix. My prayers have been answered.

You guys, I might be crazy but this last trailer has given me hope, like the letter "S" kind of hope. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX_iASz1Si8 I need sassy Jeremy Irons in my life.

Sorry for the hiatus, this will be long. I apologize for nothing. Ace of Base was literally my childhood. I grew up to my mom blasting that CD every cleaning day, sometimes interspersed with ABBA Gold. It is untouchable to hate. Another reason why tayloranne is my girl

I also wanted to add that Paul's intro to this ep was amazing. I was already listening obviously but he pulled me in and I was hooked. Andy was such a good guest too

Episode 129 - The Apple: LIVE!

I think my favourite part of this episode is the role reversal of Paul and June. Jason asking Paul "What did you think happen?" was delightful. The audience was also great, chiming in with their Junes and Zouks.

I have a problem with this assessment, mainly because I feel you don't substantively give reasons for your analysis. I follow the Judge John Hodgman rule that "People like what they like and don't like what they don't like" but I think you're missing the point of this musical. In Roxy Hart, we see Roxy's psychological state and her delusional relationship with fame. In Cell Block Tango, we learned about Catherine Zeta-Jones' case, her marriage and her relationship with her sister. In Richard's Gere tap dance courtroom scene, we see how hard he working that "razzle dazzle" (another solid song). Also, Chicago doesn't appropriate any classic songs from the era, they are all originals. I'm curious as to what musicals you're referring to that appropriate classic songs because the only ones I'm thinking of are Rock of Ages and Pennies from Heaven. I think you're conflating problems you have with modern musicals, which again I'm not sure to what you're referring, with Chicago.

Episode 128 - Streets of Fire: LIVE!

Perhaps she turned 18 near the end of shooting, therefore they had to work around child labour standards until her birthday? It could also be a thing that if she was 17 when she started, her contract wouldn't grandfather in the fact of her being age of majority in the middle of shooting. Also, presumably there were some minors in the crowd during the concert scenes so they would all have to be done during sanctioned hours. This is just off the cuff, I haven't researched California child labour regulations

OH, I just re-listened to this and I have more Umbridge to take. Paul, Ellen is perfectly good pop star name. I don't know where the hate is coming from. It cut a little deep when you said that...
  14. Basically this series are remakes of other movies but with cars. The Fast and the Furious was Point Break with cars. Fast Five was Ocean's Eleven with cars. The Fast and the Furious (#1) is a good movie. You don't need to watch 2 Fast 2 Furious to keep up with the overarching plot. That's where we meet Tyrese (who is a childhood friend of Brian O'Conner) and Ludacris (a custom shop mechanic), that's it. Tokyo Drift is also good, there was the retcon of it though with 4 and 5. I'd recommend watching The Fast and the Furious, Tokyo Drift, Fast and Furious, Fast Five, Fast and Furious 6, Furious 7. But if you want to do it in chronological order rather than release order then its: The Fast and the Furious Fast and Furious Fast 5 The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift The Fast and the Furious 6 Furious 7

Episode 128 - Streets of Fire: LIVE!

I'm going to take Dolores Umbridge with this statement. Perhaps it is a generational thing but I have literally never heard of this. I asked a couple of older people over the past week about this and they looked at me like I was insane (because of the sentiment, not because of the actual question about Rick Moranis). Same with The Great One, I have never heard this and I grew up as a rink rat, in arenas every weekend. It feels very aggressive and doesn't make much sense to me. I understand we were all pissed when 99 went to LA but not enough to completely turn him into "that guy". This seems like very localized vernacular. This made my day. Stay gold, Cameron H.

My Avengers Attractiveness List. I apologize if this has been done on the forums before. 1. Chris Evans (I'm not usually attracted to blondes but he's the exception to the rule) 2. Mark Ruffalo 3. Jeremy Renner 4. ScarJo (nothing but envy here) 5. Robert Downey Jr. 6. Chris Hemsworth (He follows my non-blonde rule) Chris Evans is just wonderful. He pulls off being blonde and he can grow a great beard. I appreciate a solid beard. I think growing up in the Great White North has pre-dispositioned me to finding a beard attractive. Speaking of the Great White North and beards...

    Episode 127.5 - Minisode 127.5

I agree with everything in this post. I dig Tatum's dancing but not his face. He has charisma in my opinion, just not a look to go with it. I do like Eva Mendes though. I do rank Jeremy Renner higher on my Avengers sex list than Chris Hemsworth. Josie and the Pussycats was a formative movie for me. I watched it at a sleepover after Jamie Sale and David Pelletier were robbed at the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics. I was distraught and this movie made it all better. It also took me until I was about 19 for the double entendre of "Back Door Lover" to fully sink in. I honestly can't think of an actor that I don't find attractive (that others generally consider so). I don't find Parker Posey attractive, speaking of Josie. I'm in love with James Spader but I think he's generally considered to have sex appeal. My other crush would be Stephen Colbert. I know he's considered funny-sexy but to me, he's my dreamboat. Not since seeing 9-5 for the first time this Christmas have I wanted to be Jane Fonda so badly

I disagree with Paul, I'd like to see The Room with Shaq. I still think it would be bonkers but at the very least more traditionally enjoyable. As you see here, the role is reversed. Shaq broke this girl's heart

    Episode 127 - Kazaam: LIVE!

No, it's not. No, we do not. I don't think streaming is bad up here but I might be less picky than others. I'm a devourer of television and watching it the next day on the network website works for me. My hometown of 2500 people still sells DVDs at the Co-Op and the other convenience store but no strictly video store. My biggest problem are all the geo-blocked clips on YouTube by NBC. This next gif perfectly illustrates my ire over this topic. I see a clip I want, I click it, it takes a half second to load then crushes my heart because it is unavailable from my location.
