So after dinner I did some online reading and found out Steinman did write a few songs. Fuck me, I thought I was joking earlier.

I was shocked to learn that a song I heard on the radio a lot as a kid in the 80s is from this movie. But it's so forgetable that I can't remember the title or how it goes, and I just finished this movie 10 minutes ago. Also, it seems like both of Diane Lane's songs are so over the top. They're like Jim Steinman songs that Meat Loaf said were not good enough for him to record. Just imagine Meat Loaf in the early 80s telling Steinman that this music is shit, and that's why they really had their falling out. As far as Tom Cody goes, it feels like the choices he used on which to base his character was really ahead of its time. He played it as a mix of Sylvester Stallone and Dilph Lundgren but more dead inside because he knew this was the peak of his career. This movie is awesome garbage, and I highly recommend it.

Like the asshole I am, I went Thanksgiving shopping to make those gross poor people (who should get out of our skies) work to sell me plastic shit I don't need. At Best Buy, there was a 10-movie pack of Cannon films plus the Electric Boogaloo documentary for $40. I was tempted to pick it up, but I saw that I already own most of these pieces of shit movies because they hold a special, sentimental place in my 1980s heart. Among the titles were Masters, Over the Top, Cobra, Missing in Action, Invasion USA, and a few others.

New forum nerd/listener. This movie is a favorite terrible movie of mine. I had it on VHS in the 80s and 90s, got the DVD in the 00s, now I have it scanned into my iTunes. Every night before I go to bed, I play a movie, screen brightness and volume on low. It's white noise to help me sleep. I have a rotation of movies, and DC Cab is a regular. It's not a boring, sleep-indusing film, but it's one I know so welll that I can play it without the need to get caught up in the insane story. I used to host a bad movie night once a month among frinds, and DC Cab was considered the most unintentionally loved, the most reviled, the most confounding, the most bizarre film my friends had seen. There was no indifference to it. DC Cab on HDTGM needs to happen.
