200th Mini Retrospective Clip Show Spectacular!
i'll hold the mike replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
It's hard to pick a favorite moment, but I really enjoyed the supercut of "Gooby", which mutated into "Gewby" and then "Gewpy". I almost printed up a "Gewby" T-shirt for a recent live show, with June's quote on the back, "I'm not upset that I saw Gewby". I may still do that! -

As a wise woman once said, just because something is difficult doesn't mean that it's good. Also, what's Italian for "Scribbles"? -

The budget was $19 million, and it made just $2.2 million at the box office, meaning that Yes, Giorgio makes it into the top 10 of least profitable HDTGM movies! Just below Steel, but just above Gigli. See https://hdtgm.info/ for the details. -

How Did this Get Graphed?: The HDTGM Infographic Project
i'll hold the mike posted a topic in How Did This Get Made?
What were the most and least profitable films covered on the podcast? Who has been the most frequent co-host? Have there been more live podcasts, or studio recordings? The answers to these and 5 other questions can be found at a new website: How Did this Get Graphed? This new project is an attempt to graph out as much HDTGM data as possible, using freely available data about the movies and the podcast episodes, with as little human intervention necessary (only to correct issues like obvious inaccuracies in data). This site was inspired by the discussion at the end of Ladybugs about which years have produced the most HDTGM movies. In an attempt to answer the question (and before I saw grudlian.'s work on this very question in the discussion topic) I cobbled together some code to pull data from various sources and display it in graph form. I've put together 9 graphs on the movies, stars, and co-hosts of the podcast, and some basic smoke tests to confirm that it works on Chrome, Firefox, and IE (not yet tested on Macs). If you are interested in reviewing the site and offering your additions, improvements, or bug reports, then I invite you to check the site out: http://hdtgm.info/ Together we can answer questions that nobody wants answered! Episode 193 - Blues Brothers 2000: LIVE!
i'll hold the mike replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Something else I just noticed: there's a character in the new vidya-game Floor Kids that's named Scribbles. Maybe June has been playing this game (and winning all the levels, since she's obviously got massive dance skills) -

No, the name is just in honor of Paul's regular request. I didn't have anything to talk about for these movies, so I wisely kept quiet for all of the shows. I'm no Balcony Monster. Also worth noting: BB2000 makes it on the bottom 25 list of least profitable HDTGM movies, having made just a little over half of its budget back at the box office. See the list and so much more at http://hdtgm.info/ -

BB2000 was the second show on Saturday night. By the first show on Sunday night some clever audience members had printed up "SAVE SCRIBBLES" T-shirts and brought them to the show. -

The next episode features an EPIC rant by June that is not to be missed. -
Two things: 1) I wonder if Paul felt sympathy with the Hell Track announcer when Duke grabbed the mike and started explaining the race. 2) I referred to that bike-hopping maneuver as "bike humping". I feel like if Jason had been in a more amorous mood we would have gotten an "I came" moment.

This is like the most egregious thing in the movie that it needs to be mentioned several times!
-
Soooooo many things to talk about. The Blues Brothers 2000 one in particular is going to be epic.
-
Also, all the movies are top to bottom, T to B, GAR-BAGE

Tonight I will be the guy in the "This guy gets it" T-shirt. (after trying about 10 times to post a link to the image of the shirt I gave up)

I was very disturbed by the use of the phrase "little boy Magic" in the review that Paul read. -

Yeah, nowadays the Keanu Reeves-es that you use to store data are really tiny and hold much more data. -

The best thing about the tearful monologue about Jim's father is that it's immediately followed by the beach scene!
