  1. I think I'm more available the 16th, though right now I don't have any plans either weekend. This movie I've seen about ten minutes of, and it was a very confusing ten minutes where I started watching it with friends, fell asleep and woke up in an empty room to the last five minutes of it. They had all left to eat pizza and didn't wake me.

Musical Mondays Pink Floyd's The Wall

It for sure counts! I almost picked it actually.

Musical Mondays Pink Floyd's The Wall

I tried really hard to watch this, but I couldn't follow anything. I'll admit, I do usually watch movies while cooking so maybe I missed something big. But I ended up abandoning it after part 5 on youtube. Also my youtube app kept trying to skip to part 8, so my frustrations probably colored that abandonment.

    Episode 180.5 - Minisode 180.5

I also feel like by the end of the first movie, they all hated being a part of it. Both Kstew and Patterson seem to be relatively ‘serious’ actors and all about their craft. A franchise teen love story doesn’t feel like something they would be super into (based on recent movies they’ve both done). By the end you could see their contempt on the screen.

    Episode 180.5 - Minisode 180.5

I knew I was partially psychic.
  6. I really didn’t think he would, I would have been surprised. Maybe less so after Golden Globes but it didn’t seem like the type of movie the Oscar voters in would be into
  7. And Emily too! She was on the Hudson Hawk episode! Honestly the nomination I'm most excited about.
  8. I got Good Janet and the gif was of drunk Janet. I’m on my phone and can’t figure out how to add it. Also Janet is probably my favorite character on any tv show. She’s the best.
  9. I just saw this on Vulture and thought you'd all giggle as much as I did. http://www.vulture.com/2018/01/jason-mantzoukas-does-an-excellent-impression-of-his-fans.html
  10. My friend and I were joking halfheartedly about the news cycle and this movie came up. Good lord its weird. A naive man (Brendan Fraser) comes out into the world after spending 35 years in a nuclear fallout shelter.
  11. The first time I illegally downloaded a movie, it was super zoomed in and I just honestly thought it was a choice. I then saw it in iMax for some reason and it blew my mind. Very weird.
  12. Big egos, tiny brains, zero foresight?
  13. Please don’t make me read Twilight again. I accidentally downloaded it when I lived overseas and read all four books when I had this horrible horrible flu/food poisoning/dysentery. The series makes me nauseous just thinking of it. The rest I’m game for Edit - I realize now that you weren’t necessarily inviting me or anyone from this forum
  14. I am a huge Tig fan, her standup is fantastic! My pseudo complaint is more that this is the second episode in a row when someone fell asleep watching the movie. Not the end of the world, just frustrating. Per this movie - I’m curious, has anyone actually read any of these books? Because as they pointed out, this movie feels not very wearwolfy. I wondering how true to the book it is.
  15. I feel like the whole 'guest falling asleep during the movie' thing has been happening a lot lately. Didn't Jessica St. Clair say that happen to her last week too? And Jason as well? Its kinda driving me a little crazy. Watching the movie live would be so much fun! I'm jealous! I wish they would come to Chicago.
  16. Not as scary as I imagined. Loved that Jeff Goldblum. Movies with scary ghosts however, still give me nightmares.
  17. I haven't had a chance to see this movie yet (crazy extended weekend with out of town family and weirdly busy week), but I wanted to answer that 10 Things I Hate About You is one of my favorite based on Shakespeare movies, though Lion King is pretty good too. As for based on classic literature in general, I go Clueless (Emma) Also, I just saw Jurassic Park for the first time like two years ago when a movie theater near me did it as one of their 'Classic Screenings'. I was easily freaked out as a child, so my parents didn't let me watch anything remotely scary. Too many nightmares.

    Best of 2017 Pt. 4

I'm too scared to talk about it
  19. Can’t make it this week, sorry!
  20. You didn't spend your music classes in HS reciting nonsensical lyrics? You must have gone to a very good school. Seriously though, I feel like she was trying to change the class from music into a weird inspirational/philosophy class. And then they started singing, so she changed again. She's not a teacher! She's just buying time til she comes up with a lesson plan. And then Ahmal wrote 'Miami' for Will Smith, so I mean, those talent scouts knew what they had.
  21. I actually thought it was a different church too, which allowed me to handwave a lot of stuff. (though I did question why they abandoned the church they just saved, but whatever) But if this is the same church, then the priests really should have known better. I would assume they would have attended the Pope performance.
  22. I feel like no one explained it was an actual class to her. I think she was under the impression that it was an after school thing since she seemed very concerned that Lauryn wouldn't be studying. But I also don't understand how she kept quitting choir. I was in choir as a class in high school and if I told my teacher that I quit, they wouldn't let me wander back in every other week. They'd make me transfer to a study hall for the rest of the semester. They certainly wouldn't plan a huge solo for me in their big performance that I said I wasn't coming to. They also wouldn't let me just go home during that class period.
  23. Do you think the other nuns that performed with them at the senior center are teachers, or they just came in to sing and went back to the convent? They didn't ride the bus with them, so I could go either way on that. And I don't think Father Wolfgang taught, I think he was just the in house German chef. Not only this, but Delores is planning on leaving - she's not sticking around to teach music next year. Who is going to lead this choir? It didn't seem like any of the other nuns know how to teach music, they just know how to perform it. So the whole reason that they saved the school is kind of voided because no one will lead them.
