    Episode 131 - The Covenant

"This movie is horny." - Jason Mantzoukas, 2016. ...Must. Resist. Lewd. Response...

    Episode 130.5 - Minisode 130.5

Wouldn't you know that as soon as they announce a movie about "witches," I'd stumble upon an article about what got you accused of being a witch in 1692. http://mentalfloss.c...lify-witch-1692 My God I would get accused so fast by those standards. (Also the one about the child made me really sad.) edit: OH DAMN! I also just found out there is another bad movie released the same time (2 months after) that had a similar name that they had to end up changing. "The Covenant: Brotherhood of Evil" AKA "Canes" starring Edward Furlong http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0480516/

    How did you discover HDTGM?

Some time last year there was an article on one of those Gawker article sites (I think maybe Kotaku?)talking about the insanity that is "The Devil's Advocate" and someone in the comments section recommended HDTGM. So I rewatched Devil's Advocate, then listened to that episode. I've been hooked ever since.

    Things (1989)

I Really wanted to recommend this movie, but thinking about my reaction to it, I think I should probably warn them instead of tell them to watch it. Holy hell is this movie hard to watch. I couldn't even finish it. It felt like a confusing fever dream. (They put the ir coats in the freezer for Christ sake.) Also anyone who follows RedLetterMedia (The "Mr. Plinket's Star Wars: Phantom Menace Reviews" crew) they did a segment of their "Half in the bag" show dedicated to this movie and how awful and baffling and wonderfully weird the movie is. I would love to be in the room while they watched this movie...If it ever happened. (It's kind of hard to find unless you buy a physical copy) NSFW trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiqSuC8KkNU

A Modest Idea for a HDTGM TV Series

I am actually a writer, and it seems like the last few things I've been working on I've been subconsciously writing characters for Paul and Jason (and since I've been watching the league Kroll too) and I'm not even meaning to.

    Episode 130.5 - Minisode 130.5

For the past few weeks I've been binge watching "The League." on Netflix since I'd never seen it before, and I'm currently in the middle of the 5th season... I can see why Jason gets his quotes from that show cat called at him constantly. Jesus Christ. CROTCHO DEL FUEGO!! While Rafi is fucking hilarious, he's not my favorite character though. Jenny is. She's such a great Female character I can relate to. Also On the Subject of Charmed, I related most to Phoebe, especially after she turned out to be a Empath, since I've always had anxiety inducing levels of Empathy.

    Episode 130.5 - Minisode 130.5

I was curious about that as well, but for a different reason. I didn't read the book/story, but in the movie there was at least a metric ton of shitting. I was unsure if he meant it was the shit as in it was great, or as a play on that aspect of the plot? (I remember the amount of shitting because I somehow thought it would be a great idea to watch that movie while sick with a stomach virus.)

    Episode 130.5 - Minisode 130.5

I kind of hate to admit this, but I went through a wiccan phase when I was in high school. *sigh* but yeah, This movie was as much about "witches" as Twilight was about romance. Every time they said the word "Spell" I cringed. If anything, this was an X men movie where all the mutants were male Jean Greys. Also the line "Only the males in the family" felt like kind of a bitchslap (witchslap? Ugh. I'm so sorry) to the "witches are female" stereotype.

    Episode 130.5 - Minisode 130.5

This movie felt like it was going nowhere for the first 3/4 of the movie. If I hadn't seen the trailer beforehand, I would never have guessed anything was even going to happen. Also This was also around the time Underworld was popular, so I guess since Vampires and Werewolves were already covered, Witches were the next best thing...but not the yucky women kind.
