  1. I've got nothing to add besides that I love this movie. I suppose it's something like Stockholm syndrome, since my parents had the first movie on vhs and I watched the thing so many times as a youngster that the sequel was of course equally as good to me.

In either case, Roger Ebert liked the movie as well, so maybe I'm not crazy.

Regarding the pay wall, I'm super bummed. I was introduced to the show by a coworker sharing an old episode, which I've then done to friends who became fans as well. That freedom is gone now. I donate, but I suspect I won't be subscribing.

  2.

I'm really okay with it because it tied into a previous episode, and it was obviously something that meant a lot to them both.

But I totally get being like, "Shut up about it" too. I've told most of my friends that I will go to a wedding and ONE other event. They can choose if that's bachelor party, engagement party, co-ed wedding shower. This personal rule came about because I had friends that had all three + a destination wedding. Seriously, that's some bullshit. Same goes for babies because I care about them even less. (I realize that sounds like it's a rule for baby weddings, and I'm leaving it that way because I think it's funny)

Thanks. He was an old guy, so it wasn't totally unexpected. But it still kind of sucks.

Ah reddit. You are truly a cesspool. Bets on whether these guys are also red-pillers who use "biology" to justify their sexism?

What? I mean, it's a super weird thing to say, but it's a far cry from sexist and very presumptuous on your part.

  3. Oh, I don't dislike the live shows; I just like the studio eps more. But, really, they're all great. I enjoy the conversational tone of the studio eps, which feels more like friends sitting around joking about a terrible movie. Live shows are still funny, and I love any HDTGM I can get, so I definitely don't want to come off like I hate live shows. Studio ones are just my preference. It's like if someone offered me tacos or pizza. I'll take tacos every time, but that doesn't mean I don't love pizza, too.

Also, the fact that studio eps are fewer are farther between make me enjoy them even more now. They're like a nice little treat when they come up.

ETA: She said early on that she checked out in the first few minutes of the movie.

    Woah, woah, woah!

If episodes were foods, I would like to say that Pizza is the live show since it is more of a party food, whereas tacos are a studio food, since they are for smaller groups.

  4. Great episode

Paul and June were a great combo and John Mulaney was a welcome addition to the cast.

What's the deal with that fucking douchebag

I don't have anything to add except that I loved it as well. I love me some John Mulaney and can't wait to watch the movie and see what this whole experience is like.

  5. Mmmmm....Maui Brewing Co. makes a really good coconut porter, but I didn't know Oskar Blues did! I'll have to check that out. Porters are my favorite beers, and I like the coconut taste of the Maui one (although nothing beats 512's Pecan Porter).

I've never heard of a coconut porter but I need to try this! Sadly, I've never seen one before. I'm sure Wisco has one to offer somewhere...
