    Very Bad Things (1998)

Is there a film wherein Cameron Diaz is bearable? There's no debating that she's an attractive woman, but I think her acting is awful and can't name one role I've found her involvement as positive.

    Replicant (2001)

So did he play triplets in this one?

    Nightbreed (1990)

I just watched the Director's Cut of this on Netflix, and...holy shit. It is bonkers. Overall, I didn't hate the movie and ended up kind of liking it as it went on, but I was confused at times. I might have to give it another watch sometime soon. It's ultimately a bit too messy to be considered a good movie, but worth watching, especially because nothing else looks like this film. I don't think the HDTGM guys would hate it. Decker is a cool-looking villain and the "monsters" are pretty unique. Made me wonder if Clive Barker was a fan of hallucinogens when making the book and film. Decker Baphomet

    Kickboxer (1989)

Are we to believe that you don't want them to cover Double Impact, wherein JCVD plays both one character and said character's twin brother? It has some good JCVD in gratuitous spandex and flexibility shots. https://www.wikiwand...n/Double_Impact

    Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985)

He's shown in his grave at the beginning of the movie. And at the end. Sure, they're hallucinations, but he's at least shown a couple times. Oh, and he was buried with his beloved machete in a very, very shallow grave. So there's that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elvtIj_sPwU&list=PLj1ozEJQ5xAvjYp6p8ARt-fm7IE7yYaE_

  7. I was surprised to not see any Amityville films come up in my search of the forums. Apologies if it did and something was off in my query. I was also surprised to see that there is a new iteration of the series coming out in January 2017, including Jennifer Jason Leigh as one of the stars. Even more than that, I was blown away that it will be FILM #18 of the Amityville canon and there were four in 2016 alone! Granted, I think all but four of them (with the next one being a theater release) were direct-to-video or made-for-television productions, but come on. Ultimately, the series is a mess, although I admit to kind of liking the first film. Maybe the crew could do a combo of the first one and its 2005 remake. Maybe do the first two. Or just focus on one of these turds by itself. https://www.wikiwand...r_(film_series)

    Amityville...any of them

Yeah, outside the four big screen releases, the others look really hastily scrapped together. I think I remember seeing the budget of one listed at $1000. Yes, $1000. A couple were released under the banner of Asylum or Amityville Asylum, which is pretty telling. I think Amityville II would be a good pick amongst these awful movies. Amazingly, Roger Ebert thought it was better than the first film.

    Mystery Men (1999)

So you're not impressed with Forlani's In the Name of the King role? Yeah, that film, covered in HDTGM episode 58.

    Millennium (1989)

This one didn't come up in the search, so I'm glad I didn't make the recommendation. I think the best thing this would offer the crew is a lot of questions about what's actually going on, with a lot of snarkiness directed at the overall production of the film. Definitely landed wide of the mark.

    Doctor Detroit (1983)

When I was a stupid kid, I saw this stupid movie probably before I was of an appropriate age to watch a movie of this stupidity. I had a blazer for dressy occasions and would wear it around and yell, "I'm Doctor Detroit!" Idiot. HDTGM, cover this one to help me with my shame.

    The Wizard (1989)

They've crossed two lines from my favorite childhood memory films by doing Maximum Overdrive and Over the Top. This would be a third, and that would cut deep. Coincidentally, all three involve semis. Maybe this is some grand, subtle trilogy which takes some serious dissection.

    The Paul Scheer, movie list.

I think they mentioned Swordfish in the Sharknado 2 episode. At least that's the first mention I seem to have stumbled upon.

    Godsend (2004)

Whoa. I haven't seen/heard of Orphan. It sounds bonkers. Straight up bonkers. Good call.

    Episode 81 — Mortal Kombat

Agreed. In the latter versions (note: I'm only on Ep. 86), Jason & Paul are trying too hard and June's just falls flat. The original including Jason's "bow-bow-bow-boopadoopadoopa" is brilliant. I was surprised that the crew didn't like the original submissions with just Jason.

    D.C. Cab (1983)

Joel Schumacher's second directing credit, for which he also got writing credit. It stars Mr. T, Bill Maher and Gary Busey. It has Timothy Carey as the Angel of Death. "Naive but good natured young man Albert Hockenberry (Baldwin) arrives in Washington, D.C. with plans to work for his late father's army buddy Harold (Gail), owner of the run-down District of Columbia Cab company. Aware of the sorry state of his business and from the growing competition from the popular Emerald Cab Company, Harold wants to clean it up but doesn't have the financial means to do so. Complicating matters is the motley group of cab drivers that he has working for him. They all see driving as a dead end job while they wait for better lives, until Albert inspires them to work as a team. A valuable violin is found in one of the cabs earning Harold and his wife a $10,000 reward as owners of the cab. Harold wants to share the money with the drivers and let them invest in the cab company as partners. However, his greedy wife Myrna picks up the reward money and tosses Harold and Albert's belongings out of the house. The cabbies are not happy about losing their share of the reward, so Albert decides to donate $6,063 of his own money to the cab company and convinces the drivers to stay and make something of the company and themselves. The cabbies completely overhaul the entire business and the revitalized company soon supplants Emerald Cab as the most popular in the city. Later on, the cabbies work together to rescue Albert and a diplomat's two children after they're kidnapped. The movie ends with a parade in DC Cab's honor." Trailer ???

    Godsend (2004)

This one should get a little more attention. It has De Niro and 4% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a start. Looking under the hood, you find lots of goodies. Just a sample from Wikipedia. Paul and Jessie Duncan (Greg Kinnear and Rebecca Romijn) are a happily married couple who have an eight-year-old son named Adam (Cameron Bright). The day after his eighth birthday, when fetching a basketball he was given into the street, Adam is killed in a collision. While leaving a church, Jessie and Paul are confronted by Dr. Richard Wells (Robert De Niro), an old professor of Jessie's. He offers to clone Adam, an illegal procedure which would require a change of location and identity, to which the Duncans reluctantly agree. Everything appears to be fine with the new Adam until he reaches his eighth birthday. That night, he experiences a violent nightmare. Richard explains to Paul that it is typical for boys his age to have night terrors, and that it is not serious. He explains that because Adam II has reached the age at which the original Adam died, his life cannot be predicted anymore. From that moment on, Adam II continues to have night terrors until they become visions and he starts having them when he's wide awake, losing control of his actions.

    Species (1995)

My vote would be for the sequel. Maybe this could be a case for the crew to do a super episode covering both turds. I love this quote from Species II star Michael Madsen. In a 2004 interview, co-star Michael Madsen expressed his opinion on this film saying "Species II was a crock of shit. There are a number I'm not very proud of. The movie studios can't mind that much, as they haven't contacted me to tell me off about it. I'm honest - if I've made a bad movie, I want my fans to know what they're letting themselves in for."

    Rings (2016)

Co-written by, bum-bumbum-bum!...Akiva Goldsman. You might remember Goldsman from other turds like Batman & Robin, Lost In Space, Practical Magic, and The 5th Wave. He's had some hits, but some real stinkers to pockmark that reputation.

    F/X 2 (1991)

How has Cocktail not been done? Does June have a special place in her heart for it? Too easy of a film to skewer? Looks like a pretty spectacular fall in quality from F/X to F/X2. I haven't seen either, but a Rotten Tomato drop from 86% to 31% has me intrigued.

    The Tourist (2010)

Well said. I haven't seen The Lives of Others in years, but feel like it's time for another look. I actually looked the film up when I was randomly looking at historic Olympic medal counts and was reminded of East Germany. Weird. The director's Wikipedia page is interesting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florian_Henckel_von_Donnersmarck "His next film, The Tourist, which Donnersmarck re-wrote, directed and completed in under 11 months (telling Charlie Rose he had wanted a break from writing a dark screenplay about suicide)..." --What happened to it over the last five years? Did he just stop making it? "2013 – Named Young Global Leader by the Davos World Economic Forum" --For...??? "In 2011, Donnersmark was honoured by the University of Oxford, his alma mater, as one of its 100 most distinguished members from 10 centuries. Other honourees included Duns Scotus, William of Ockham, Erasmus of Rotterdam, Saint Thomas More, John Locke, Christopher Wren, Adam Smith, Lawrence of Arabia, Oscar Wilde, J.R.R. Tolkien and living university alumni Rupert Murdoch, Bill Clinton and Stephen Hawking." --Whoa You're right on the post-mortem discussion. It would be really interesting to hear his experience going from a great film to the Tourist.

    The Tourist (2010)

I just linked the writer and director of this to another film, and was blown away. He also wrote and directed The Lives of Others (German: Das Leben der Anderen), a 2006 film that came in at #32 on a just-released BBC poll of The 21st Century's 100 Greatest Films. Great film. In this context, it makes The Tourist an even larger turd than originally thought! At least it had a good financial run. http://www.bbc.com/c...-greatest-films The Tourist (Budget: $100M, Box: $278M, RT: 20%) VS. The Lives of Others (Budget: $2M, Box: $77M, RT: 93%)

    The Island (1980)

I would love to see this one covered by the crew. Left out of the original post: Ritchie also directed Fletch and the Bad News Bears. And the fact that the writer wrote Jaws is just amazing. This one is high on my list for HDTGM to tackle. There's talk of pirates and inbreeding, so multiple opportunities for Jason to make some clutch comments.
