Yeah, I called with a forum-specific message as well (two actually) and am pretty relieved they didn't get played. My sense is that if they let forum-heavy calls in to the EHL it makes it all the more cliquey and might open the floodgates to other in-jokes for this specific group. I doubt they'd want that, but maybe I'm over thinking it.

They're called sultanas where I'm from. I never heard of raisins until the California Raisins and I didn't really know what they were supposed to be. Turns out they aren't quite the same thing but sultanas is the catch-all term we used at home.

Scrolling through this thread I had response after response but it kept evolving and morphing and now I'll just keep my gif of Chris Bosh to myself. Excellent tangent work, folks.

My problem with 3D is that the glasses are tinted and always smudgey, but I never feel like the contrast in the film is adjusted to take into account that the glasses are darker than just watching a 2D version. So I always feel like the movies become gloomy and indistinct. And I wind up taking the glasses off four or five times to furiously polish them to try to make it clearer. And if you want to make it worse, try taking little kids to a 3D movie where they keep pulling the glasses off. It's the worst.

There was zero snark in my post: I'd be up for as much as you'd like. It's way less depressing than the solo back catalogue catch-up that some of us are doing. I watched Theodore Rex and no one else was there to share my pain. THEODORE REX.

Very sorry to hear about your job, Fister. I agree a week's notice in future would be good - in this first occasion, however, i'd suggest that we have more than enough interested parties for a soft open, that we could use this as a test run. I'm only mostly sure I can be on the live viewing, but I am definitely going to watch later and catch up in the thread. So maybe we stick with plan A this week and give a bit more notice next time? I was on team 'old thread' but I like the logic of team 'new thread'. Do as thou wilt!
