The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)

If you like the comic, or the actors involved, or are a fan of steampunk or Victorian literature in general, it's worth watching once just to see it. Especially keeping expectations to rock bottom.

Episode 47 - Star Wars with Anthony Forrest

This was a great episode. As a pretty big Star Wars fan, I am ashamed to admit that I had no idea the "Move along" stormtrooper and Fixer were played by the same actor. This episode also led me to watch Elstree 1976, which I would highly recommend.

I would also love to see LXG covered in the podcast. Get Ed Brubaker back to talk about it.

    Episode 147 - Gamer: LIVE!

In regards to the Crank/Gamer shared universe, there's the fact that in Crank Chev Chelios poses as a video game designer to his girlfriend, there's the , and the fan theory that the events of Crank is actually the GTA-style game that Chev designed. So it could be assumed that in this shared universe, "Crank" is actually another game similar to "Society" and "Slayers" and Chev Chelios is an associate of Michael C. Hall's character. Or maybe they're Steve Jobs/Bill Gates style rivals and Crank is a competing with MCH's games.

    EPISODE 114 — Runaway

It's funny, re-listening to this episode after the new Westworld TV show came out made me think of Runaway in the context of the original Westworld movie. Crichton did a movie about a sci-fi amusement park gone awry with robots. He then did another movie focusing on just the robot aspect of that, and it bombed. So then later he went back to the sci-fu amusement park gone awry and did Jurassic Park. If Runaway did well, I wonder if he would have ever gone back to that well and done Jurassic Park.
