    YES! When I found out he was Lumiere, I died. I love the clip of the Oscars that year when he sang Be Our Guest. When I heard about the live-action remake, I was like "ummmm". Then Ewan was cast as Lumiere and I was like "yiiiisssssssss" I feel like I'm a Benny tbh

    I was surprised it took that long for a person to suggest the mom/doctor was a mom/doctor/lover. Totally on brand for this movie. Iron Fist also made me sad. I enjoyed all of the Madame Gao though. My high school Language Arts teacher mentioned this happened all the time. She usually had an awkward speech once a year during Grade 9, to tell the boys "Look, if you're that uncomfortable, get baggier clothes or leave the room. I don't want to spend this entire school year watching half of you adjust yourselves"

    I really enjoyed this movie. I grew up with Jesse L. Martin as Detective Greene on Law and Order. I went in cold, not knowing he was in it and he made me cry so hard.

    I used to teach CanSkate and because I was the oldest (20), they put me with the beginners (4-6 y.o.) I didn't realize how much I casually swore AND forgot what words are considered swears by little ones. It was a difficult 4 months.

    I grew up Catholic but was never really devout, so I avoided faith-based stuff. We stopped going to church when I was in Grade 7. I remember watching this for the first time in high school on MuchMoreMusic Easter weekend. I remember having an initial aversion to watching it, simply because I thought it was a legit "churchy" movie. I thought it was more "faithful" to the Bible because the bumper before the movie talked about the controversy of Peaches doing a cover album/concert and calling it "Peaches Christ Superstar". Boy, was I wrong.

    It was my favourite part too, maybe tied with the Cool Rider Second Opinion Theme Nina Dobrev's character angered me on such a visceral level. I get that she's a weird Q/Moneypenny composite but seriously Vin Diesel is not attractive. This is the second time I've disagreed with June on attractiveness, the other being Evil Earnest. I don't like when we're not on the same page. I watched this movie the night before the podcast came out and glad I did. It was insane. Everything I took issue with, the crew brought it up. Real talk, 8/10 watch this movie again. My biggest gripe about this movie was actually how self-aware it is. Vin does not need a quippy one-liner (or his attempts at one) every time he talks. His character always needs the last word.

    I still thinks it's valid. I'm unfamiliar about how royalties work but I'd think that the record company would prefer to pay him under the table and use his illegal status against him, rather than pay him royalties for the logo.
