Comic books, Dungeons and dragons, Doctor Who, and terrible movies.
  1. That was such a crazy line! It was treated like some kind of sexual innuendo, but it just doesn't work.
  2. I think another problem Vicky had was that her boyfriend was married. In the second diner scene it appears that the actor has on a wedding band and they left it in. Unless that is an odd looking class ring that he's wearing on his ring finger.

    I just have to say...

I listen to quite a few podcasts and Threedom is definitely my favorite. Never stop making these!

    Episode 181 - Freejack: LIVE!

Toward the beginning of the movie Anthony Hopkins is in the Spiritual Mainframe wearing a hooded robe and has Emilio's face! Why? Through the whole first part of the movie people kept referring to "the Client" when both parties in the conversation knew it was Anthony Hopkins! Why? The building that has the Spiritual Mainframe in it also has a giant "Jack" on the top of it! Why? Those are just a few of my questions.

Guy's you are missing the obvious choice for young Christopher Lee. Nicholas Cage. Let's see: Academy Award Winner 6 foot (so tallish) Can play British (Season of the Witch) And sure he's in his 50's but add some of those CGI effects to make him look like he did in Vampire's Kiss and you're good to go.
  6. My wife and I LOVE terrible horror movies. So for her birthday (yesterday) we decided to watch The Howling 1 through 5! What a crazy experience that was. This movie did stand out among the rest as making less sense. It doesn't fit with the others as there is no mention of Stirba, no werewolf gods or werewolf orgies. It however isn't as bananas as the third one. Which is more of a human rights/ werewolves are people too kind of a story. It also has werewolf nuns!

Episode 179 - Second Sight: LIVE!

This was one of my all time favorite movies when I was a kid. I didn't get a chance to see it for the podcast, after hearing the episode it sounds like maybe that was for the best.
  8. Maybe that's why the police and even Superman treat him with such a slap on the wrist attitude. Like "Here goes Lex again, trying to take over the world. Ha Ha Ha oh well lets put him in a minimum security prison for a little bit. Boys will be boys." I would say maybe that was a commentary the films were trying to make, but I think that would be giving them too much credit.
  9. The entire chain gang scene is ridiculous. Having only two guards for a chain gang seems stupid especially when that chain gang includes a man who almost sank California into the ocean! Not to mention having successfully escaped from prison before. Honestly how is Lex not in a maximum security prison or on death row? He used missles to cause an earthquake on US soil. Then teams up with alien conquerors to take over the country! And at the end of this movie Superman drops him back off at prison and says to him "See you in twenty". TWENTY?! Multiple attempts at world domination and escaping prison twice only gets you twenty?
  10. And I love that GIF Polly.
  11. One of the biggest plot holes (I know there is a ton) is Nuclear Man's clothes. Lex puts a gold and a black strip of fabric into the box on top of the protoplasm. Then says the computer will weave him clothes. But how? There is no way Nuclear Man's costume would fit in that tiny box. Also when would it make the costume? After it explodes in the Sun? What kind of super computer could weave a full size, indestructible costume, comple with a cape and emblems? And making it to fit a person who wasn't formed until after the computer was destroyed. Just lazy film making.
  12. Paul F. Tompkins is without a doubt one of the best interviewers in the business.
