not sure what happened, but the YouTube vid of A Night in Heaven has downgraded to 240p. This wasn't the case on Friday night. Going to see if it can be fixed.

I don't know why this show works as well as it does, but it's great. My job is pretty dull and requires very little cerebral activity, so I spend most of my day listening to podcasts while I work. This is one of my favorites. It makes me laugh and helps me to not think about the vortex of pointless entropy that is my life for a little while. thanks Paul, Lauren, Scott and Shevin! (Shevan?)

HDTGM Classics HALLOWEEN EDITION! Sleepaway Camp (10/5 9PM EST)
Breadbutt replied to Cameron H.'s topic in How Did This Get Made?
@Cameron H. I think I'm late for Sleepaway camp, but I signed up on rabbit. Maybe I can make the next one. -
that strip scene was a straight up herpes factory.

yeah, I was really confused as to what this movie is trying to say. The gender politics are all over the place which sorta makes sense, since everyone is fucking everyone.

@gigitastic update There's a much higher res version here:

the Vimeo link for A Night in Heaven isn't up yet (as far as I can tell) but a 240p res version is on youtube. Haven't watched it all the way through, but it seems to be complete. I've replaced the link with a DVD resolution version. enjoy.

Episode 198 - Look Who’s Talking Too: LIVE!
Breadbutt replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Did anyone notice that at around 12 27 minutes in, (while Kirstie Alley and Olympia Dukakis are sitting outside having bagels & coffe), they cut to Kirstie Alley's father. He's ostensibly teaching the kid to do math, but he says "yeah, six, six, six dollars" I'm not a religious person, but I still wouldn't chant 666 to a child. -

just FYI, it was vaseline, or at least it was within the movie, would not be surprised if in reality they used baby oil for filming. Honestly, that's my favorite scene in the whole movie. I actually saw the movie around the time it came out and while I didn't care much for the rest of the film, I thought Reynolds portrayal of a corrupt congressman was fucking brilliant. He really nails the whole super-creepy, dissociated from reality guy. When his aid goes follows her to the laundrymat, I thought he was going to steal her underwear (which would be creepy enough) but he just gets the dryer lint (which he needed tongs for?). Congressman Dilbeck goes wild for it, inhaling it and talking about her "essence". I mean ... it would just smell like fabric softener or detergent right? I dunno, there's so much creepy going on I don't know where to start or end. There are a lot of things wrong with this movie, but casting Burt Reynolds as David Dilbeck was a stroke of genius.

Courting Chaos "A Beverly Hills girl falls for a Venice Beach street clown called Chaos and she must overcome her inhibitions and become a clown herself for the relationship to survive. " I've been tempted to suggest a lot of movies, but they're usually a little on the nose. Courting Chaos is perfect for the podcast. It's hard to express how weird this movie gets, and I'm not good at making forum posts. I'm just hoping one or two people watch this, and get what I mean when I say that this movie is FULL of cringe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHqsXJgmc14 You can rent it for $1.99 on Amazon (or $0.99 for SD) and it's free with Amazon Prime.
