I know I'm a couple of weeks behind on this but I wanted to add my Prince story. Back in 2011 I was working on a little indie film called "Unlucky" and we were shooting in Princes mansion in Toronto. My holding was placed in his "Rec Room". Now I want you to picture Princes' Rec Room, don't change that image in your head at all, you nailed it. Purple shag carpeting, mirrored walls with a plush velvet restaurant booth in the corner, golden mirrored stars on the ceiling, oh so many disco balls. He had a Purple Snooker table, with Purple chalk, and the reds were all purple. The doors to the dining room were frosted glass with the Symbol on it. he was genial and friendly to the crew and I got to play snooker on Princes' purple pool table.

Wow how bad was this. Right off the bat in the stinger I thought to myself, who shot this turd? It was lit like a student film, then I saw the DP’s name and thought, yup that’s about right. I’ve known this guy for about 10 years, this is his best work. Do you think that they shot Kelseys stuff in one day at his house? I was surprised at how much Thomas Jane was in it though. This is what happens when you grow up in the shadow of your way more talented And successful older brother. I can’t wait to get your take on this

Does anyone remember the 10 hour Star Wars Podcast Jason recommended on a mini episode? I can't remember which one it was. Thanks!! Mark

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!! I couldn’t see this!!! I live in Canada and I couldn’t get it on any legal platform, or any illegal platform for that matter. So disappointed, my wife and I do HDTGM films as date nights and we couldn’t do our date this week. So sad.

I knew I was going to be upset when I heard you were going to do Cool World. I love this movie! I saw it in theaters, I bought the VHS, I still have the soundtrack ON VINYL!! I love this film. It’s not as confusing as you made it out to be. the Cool World has always existed, it’s a parallel universe to our own. Doc. Whiskers is using the spike to attempt to cross through to and explore the other dimensions, including our own. When he accidentally brings Harris into the Cool World. At this point they switch places and Whiskers plugs up the doorway using the spike. Jump ahead to 1992 Doc. Whiskers becomes Vegas Vinnie after creating the first Casino at the crossroads of the dimensions, you’ll notice that Doc’s first name is Vincent later in the film. Now we get Jack Deebs, he’s in prison (Criminal) the yang to Harris’ yin (Cop). He created the Cool World comic book based on his dreams. Those dreams were placed in his head by Holli to manipulate him and entice him to cross over. You even played a clip that explains the fact that Deebs did not create Cool World and he’s not the first Noid to come through. Then immediately said that Harris’ job policing Noid/Doodle relations was pointless because he’s the only Noid, he’s not the only Noid just the only Noid right now. It is suggested that Holli has tried this before not just by Harris but also by Sparks, Holli’s jealous boyfriend. the whole point of both the male leads characters is that they are two sides of the same coin. Harris, the Noid cop who won’t break the rules, and Deebs, the Noid criminal who will go all the way. Once Jack and Holli cross over that causes an imbalance in the continuum which is why things start getting trippy. They upset the balance. Holli believes that if she can harness the power of the spike it would make her real permanently. But also allow her to be in control of both worlds.

Episode 234.5 — Minisode 234.5
MarkWotton replied to SlidePocket's topic in How Did This Get Made?
as far as Star Wars goes the Machete sequence is the best. If you watch the films in numerical order the story becomes that of Anakin, and he really doesn't have much of a story arc. He's an annoying kid, to shitty teen to evil adult, with a completely unearned redemption at the end of his story before the new sequels (7-9). If you watch the Machete sequence the films main story arc rests back on Lukes journey which is a much more interesting journey and the prequels become a point where we learn of Anakin's history along with Luke. This way we go from Empire "I am your father", Luke studies this history and trains his skills so when he shows up in Jedi as a full fledged Jedi knight it's a more believable reveal. It also re-enforces his choices throughout all 9 films. Now to beer, in Canada the two biggest beer brands are Molson's and Labatt's. The top spot has been switching back and forth between Molson Canadian and Labatt's Blue. Prelude to a Kiss came out when Labatt's Blue was still on top but Molson was just about to launch their new "I am Canadian" campaign that would put them on top to this day. As it stands Molson Canadian is the second most popular beer in Canada and has been since it overtook Blue in the 90's. The top beer here, Moosehead. -
