Dear Randy and Jason. Kiwi Davis here. Okay guys, strap yourself in and get focused because this one is coming straight from the heart. I. Love. Sklarbro. Country. I saw you two do stand up in Ann Arbor Michigan recently when you returned to your "Sklarma mater". You were hilarious. I have attached the picture you were gracious enough to take with me. Thanks for that. That show was the first time I had heard about the podcast and I immediately decided to check it out. I started back at episode 1 and am now on #20 and am steadily working my way to the present.
As a total non-sports fan I would like to highly recommend the podcast to all the other non-sports people out there. Let me paint a picture for you of my interests in sports. Basically, I liked recess back in school and that's it. I was, an am, a total nerd/geek and my favorite playground game was 'superheroes' where we just ran around fighting as our favorite characters. More often than not I was Cyclops from the X-Men or Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I went to University of Michigan for grad-school and I have never been to a football game at the Big House. Gasp! In fact the only time I've been in the stadium was to see President Clinton give a talk. When I watch sports I honestly cannot rap my head around why anyone has a favorite team. As far as I'm concerned the most interesting game to watch would be one where something unlikely happens like a ball being fumbled back and forth between teams seven times in one play or a baseball taking out the scoreboard. The drama of seeing great athletes rallying their team and giving an incredible performance does nothing for me. If anything I'm actually kind of anti-sports. That being said I fucking love Sklarbro Country and feel right at home on it's peaceful shores. The show is consistently hilarious. In much the same way the Daily Show comments on politics, I love you commentary on sports and how you look at life through that lens. Please have Tiger Woods on all the time and know that Racist Vin Scully is absolutely genius. To all non-sports people out there, please immigrate to my native Sklarbro Country.
