  1. Hey T&K&D aaaanndd A,

Thanks for such great shows lately, and Donald Trump is my new favorite impression of Kyle's. I kinda miss David's Chicago guy, come to mention it. I can't wait for the further adventures of Morbot and Good One. Maybe they could open a detective agency? Here's hoping. Finally, I wanted to include a message for Tig:

Hey, Tig. I just bought/listened to LIVE. I know you're serious about your craft and think LIVE is pretty "raw' , but damn, don't be too hard on yourself-this recording is great and it made my day better...

  2. Hey Tig&Kyle&David&Aaron&Taylor(!),

OK, I'm sure y'all are getting this a lot, but this was one of the best Professor Blastoffs, if not one of the best podcasts, I've ever heard. I mean, most of this episode could be in the Best Of. A call from Kyle's mother or a riddle probably would have melted my computer into a hot puddle of awesome....

  3. Hey KuKu and WieWie,

Just wanted to drop a note and say Who Charted has been in my own personal heavy rotation for a few weeks now-y'all are getting better and better! Wie's so fast and funny, and Kulap's got the most bubbly on-air personality with deep knowledge her damn self. Wow, stay awesome...

    PS-Howard, I can't get the themes out of my head(chart ex-clusive!)

  4. Dear Tig & Kyle & David & Aaron and all the rest of the Riverbottom Nightmare Swamp Rock Band,

Thanks again everybody for a great show, thanks Tig for reading one of my letters(!), and thanks Dr. Shady for your fight against airborne pathogens both down under and up above. Kyle's stories and riddles are always a highlight, and now I can't hear rhyming poetry without thinking of ways to make the words rhyme with "buses", "sashes", or "and then!" Also, it sounds like Kyle and I had a very similar "first" experience, though it did not lead to a Billy Joel concert in my case.

  5. Hey T&K&D,

Wow-Steven Yates was one of the best guests yet, and Aaron's really gettin' the hang of the clip thing. This episode had a really good balance between guest and host input, and great chemistry all around. Plus, there was a great riddle and a short visit from Cajun Lady! Please accept your Green Circle Award, y'all...

  6. Hi T&K&D,

Owen's great-thanks for having him back! I bet he and Dr. Cohen would make for a great PB end-of-year finale. Also, I have an idea for another money-maker: How about trademarking haircuts and selling the designs? Like, "Hey, gimme a Tig-wig. I gotta date tonight!" Or, "Can you give me a Kyle-style"? "Nah, just give the Dave-wave".

    Thanks again,
    Jamey

  7. Hey T&K&D,

Thanks again-these podcasts are fast becoming appointment listening for me, and I appreciate the unique approach. It's not just comedians talking with fellow comedians; there's always an element of chance as far as how the guests will respond. One topic that did not get mentioned(although a pretty disturbing one) is the practice of honor killings as practiced in some communities in the Mid-East, though I believe that Owen's explanation of honor being maintained by a small community covers the idea as far as "honor" being separate from "morality". Sometimes, the "village" is a wonderful and supportive place, and sometimes it's very dangerous. Thanks again for a thought-provoking episode, and the stories were great-especially Kyle's.

  8. Hey T&K&D,

This was a fun episode, like always, and my favorite part was hearing David's rude-guy-in-the-bar story. I like hearing about how people react in real-world situations when another person is behaving badly. This could have been a great two-parter, too, and I'm surprised Tig didn't chime in with her dislike of pointing! Amy has a great definition of rudeness, as well-that it's theft of another person's space, time, and turn at talk. It was thought-provoking, and anything that encourages mindfulness is OK with me. Sorry to go all Bob Ducca there...

    Thanks,

    Jamey

  10. Hey T&K&D,

Thanks again for another GOOD ONE. Speaking of good ones, I'd like to send a special shout-out to Tig, who I got to see for the first time ever in Austin on Monday night-thanks for bringing the funny, and for being so cool after the show.

    Thanks,
    Jamey
PS-this was a good topic-I think it could be revisited but narrowed down to different countries?

  12. Hey T&K&D,

Wow-this was a great episode, and I hope Tunnel Guy, Cajun Lady, and Boston Dude can make more appearances together. I'm kinda biased towards loving this topic since I grew up in North Carolina and various accents have always been a personal favorite of mine as fas as collecting and imitating them goes. I live in Texas now, and I think my ear has gotten less sophisticated at recognizing accents from different parts of this state ( I used to be pretty good at it back in NC ). Dr. Cohen's great-I think he's one of my favorite PB guests-he's laid back and smart and seems to roll with the chaos pretty well.

    Thanks again,
    Jamey
PS-Wikipedia is reporting that Tig was born "Carl Notaro".

  13. Hey T&K&D,

Thanks again for another funny episode. I kept thinking about how C3PO and R2D2 were one of my first exposures to the world of robots, and it's interesting that they kind of represent the duality of robot experience-R2D2 was more machine and appliance-like, where C3PO was more humanoid, and they complemented one another in such a way as to bring out each other's human and robotic aspects, respectively, at least in George Lucas' mind, anyway. Finally, I couldn't let this topic pass without posting this stone-cold sillicon-chip classic:

  14. Hey T&K&D,

Thanks again-this was a fun episode to eavesdrop on. Kyle's rhymes are always a hit, and it was great to hear David hold forth at length about his futuristic visions-and I liked that cell-phone bit, too. And watch out for Tig's angry Mom voice-scary stuff! Aaron was a great guest-his low-key, cerebral style fit in nicely down in the hatch. I was talking with an older friend of mine, and I was telling him about how I like to listen to podcasts, and he pointed out the similarity (at least as far as listener interfacing) to listening to radio broadcasts back in the day. I guess that's true, except the media is more flexible and malleable-I can stop, rewind, take it with me or send it to a friend. I guess that's my main point-I grew up without home computers, and life is not that different, but information itself is much more fluid and accessible, which is kinda awesome.

    Thanks,
    Jamey

  15. Hey T&K&D,

Thanks again-this podcast is definitely getting better and better, and it's becoming a highpoint of my week. I've never seen a ghost, but I have perfectly rational, agnostic/atheist-leaning friends who claim to have seen them. One of my great aunts, Cleo (short for Cleopatra-she's dead now) was well-versed in regional ghost stories from her area of rural North Carolina. I checked a book out from the library once and there were a few of the stories she used to tell us in that book. On the subject of Ouija boards-I played with one a few times, but the last time I played with one, I was playing with a pretty emotional girl and the Ouija board (or the spirit we had summoned) told her that she was sterile and would never conceive a child. She burst into tears and ran out of the room, and everyone felt really bad.

  16. Hey T&K&D,

Wow-lots of fun to be had on this show! Doug was a great guest and definitely an expert, for all those "expert requesters" out there in Earwolf Land. One idea could have been a pro/con discussion with a former heavy smoker, but that could have easily gone off the rails (or out of the hatch), too. Eeveryone was really funny this week.

    Thanks again,
    Jamey

  17. Hey T&K&D,

Thanks for another good one-I think this episode would have been even better if you could have wrangled a Philosophy expert or at least laid out some definitions here and there-I was getting a little confused with the discussions of free will and fate and social mobility and class structure, etc., but overall a lot of fun.

PS-Could one of you guys cover my dinner shift at Shenanigan's?

  18. Ow, my head. I wanted to see some diagrams of the whole space-warp model and I couldn't stop thinking of Fifth Dimension songs-"One Less Bell To Answer", "Up Up and Away", etc. Thanks guys. That Kyle's a rhymin' fool. And I don't know why, but that Goobers commercial kicks my parenting instincts into overdrive with heart-rending urgency. I don't have any kids, but I really want baby Tig to have her Goobers.
