I just watched this last night, and it's a classic illustration of the old Spinal Tap quote "It's a fine line between stupid and clever". At times this almost feels like a lesser Coen Bros work.... and at other times it seems like what it is... a steaming pile. Brando's over the top performance should be enough to motivate any film fan to check this out, but weird choices in casting, direction and the overall story make this a "How Did This Get Made" classic waiting to happen. While watching the film I had a hard time not imagining your reactions to each scene.
