  1. With all this controversy (some of which I agree with and some I don't) I just want to say that LHR has definitely won a subscriber in me during this competition. They are imaginative, well produced, and hilarious. Each week they've impressed me with the quality of their submissions. Even if they don't win the challenge I think they've proven they are worth listening to.

  3. There has been a lot of discussion about the contestant's intros and judges not understanding the show's concepts. It seems that listeners don't like that each week the shows are being introduced to the judges (which can get repetitive) or that some shows are at a disadvantage due to more complex concepts or everyone gets confused about everything that is happening. As people who work on the Earwolf Challenge (I really appreciate all the hard work you guys are putting into it!) have pointed out, the judges don't have time to listen to all these shows every week.

Couldn't you take the iTunes descriptions of the podcasts, put them onto a sheet of paper and give it to the judges when they come into the studio. They could read it while stuff is getting set up or even while Matt is introducing the show. They could keep it in front of them as a reference while each submission is being introduced. This could hopefully stop Matt from having to tell the judges about each podcast or stop the judges from being confused about submissions after the fact. It wouldn't take very long to do or read. It would still put the job of getting the podcast's concept across on the contestants since, I'm assuming, they write their own summaries. Plus it would be more true to life since (like Jimmy Pardo said in week one) I've never listened to a podcast without reading their summary.

If anyone agrees, disagrees, thinks I'm an idiot, or wants to explain how this can't work let me know!

  4. It's cool to see so many different opinions on the shows every week.

Bob and Dan's submission was the funniest for me. Dan Telfer is hilarious and the three of them made me laugh the whole time. I haven't been high on Left Handed Radio during the whole competition but this week they won me over. The sketch was great and the guest in the sketch made it even better.

I agree with the Marc Maron about the Fort's submission. I was listening with someone and when I heard their guest was Matt Braunger I told them he was really funny. By the end of the sketch they had no proof he was funny at all.

I'm loving the show and I can't wait for tomorrow.

  5. I love this new podcast. i look forward to every episode and love that it comes out three times a week. It's completely different than anything else I listen to.

I've heard Jeff Ullrich say many times he is looking for criticism for the shows so I figured I would give some.

I would love there to be a winner each week as well as an eliminated podcast. There wouldn't need to be a prize like on other reality shows, but just knowing who the judges liked the most would help contrast their challenge submission to the losing one. It would also bring some more positiveness to the elimination show.

I'd also like a little more time given to the bottom three podcasts to defend themselves or to convince the judges they should stay. I know that I've only heard one elimination show but for me there was too much explanation about why they were in the bottom and not enough time given for the podcast to talk about why they should be saved.

Again, I love the show! I would love to read what other listeners think about my suggestions as well as their own.

  6. I liked half of the Ham Radio intro. The voices are fun and let you in on how the show will sound plus it's a take on the other shows' intros like Radio Lab, Comedy and Everything Else and The Sound of Young America. The little song was good too. If that was it, it would have been great.

Totally Laime was my favorite followed by the Bob and Dan Cast.

My guess for the bottom three. Beginnings, Television Zombies, and the F Plus.

  7. Andy Kindler is so funny. He killed it this show.

As much as I like comic books and Green Lantern, the movie stunk. Kulap should definitely skip it since she doesn't even like the character. I went in with low expectations and it didn't manage to meet even them. I am looking forward to Captain America though!

    Great show as always.

  8. Another great episode. I love the show!

Whenever David says "I like to believe ..." the craziest theory anyone could ever come up with is about to be said.

It would be great if there was a dimension where Professor Blastoff was hosted by Craig, Good One Robot, Goobers baby, and David with a cowboy hat on.
