Yeah I realized that with that episode too, did you see the pic someone posted of basically a grid of him giving his peace signs 9 different times? Brilliant
Â
I did not see this!

I happened on the NNF Facebook page tonight and was scanning through pictures of guests (mostly matching faces to people I'd previously only heard on podcasts), and is it some kind of NNF tradition that Scott does the double peace sign goofy picture every time he does the Pardcast? Because I think it's amazing.

Is it just me - doesn't the lion-killing safari guy look like Andy Daly in some of his pictures? Which is a little odd, because a dentist with bloodlust for torturing and illegally killing rare animals sounds like an Andy Daly character. If in any of these pictures this sociopath was wearing a sweater, or if his statement also involved a desire for suicide and/or worshiping Satan, I would think it was a CBB prank.

This is the sort of bad that requires people with some talent and good intentions can make. Ray Liotta? Check. Ashley Judd? Check. Joey Pants? Seth Green? All here.
Â
It's a very obvious homage to Elvis and based on the hypothetical that Elvis's brother had lived. And was adopted out to a different, religious family. And if both Elvis and Elvis's brother were played by the same Elvis impersonator. With the acting ability of your average Elvis impersonator. It's easily predictable, cliched, and frankly - weird.
Â
It's really, really bad.
Â
Essentially, I am just begging HDTGM to do this film so that I can retroactively justify the time I spent watching it.

I cannot believe Fat Sal's isn't made up.
Â
Edit: I actually went to Google Maps to make 100% sure that the website wasn't a parody site. It's so unbelievable.

Yeah, huge props to Michael Ableson for requesting PFT, Andy Daly, and Lupkus - and he holds his own as well as can be expected, I think. Great episode.

Clearly I am not the first person to suggest this. That's my bad. But it's also THEIR BAD for not doing this movie as of yet. I mean, c'mon.

That's right: JASON X. The Friday the 13th films transition into sci-fi future spaceshippy murder and the results are incredible. Keep in mind, I'm not recommending this as one of those, "this is hard to watch, it's painful and awful and you shouldn't see it." It's amazing in it's badness. I'll even hear an argument that it's a GOOD film due it's hilarious bad scenes. It's a combination of all the nonsense of unkillable horror tropes combined with sci-fi technobabble cliches, and the results are both worth watching and worth mocking.

So this happened today, and I feel like this is the only place where I think it's worth posting it.

Looking back, this episode still represents the pinnacle of podcasting in my eyes.

Man, I would have put money down on this episode ending with Dalton Wilcox's plugging the hole with...well, with what he plugs holes with.

How in the living shithell did this podcast managed to exceed the already-huge expectations I had for it? How?!? HOW??!??

New version is up, and is much better! Thank you!

Yeah, I couldn't understand or hear much of anything. I had to turn it off. I really hope there's a better version of it somewhere.

Matt Besser comes in as "Scott's Neighbor and New Dad," and I start to think, "well, that's sort of a flimsy premise, I dunno if this is going to be good," and they ask his name, and he responds, "You know, I don't know even know my name, because it's not about me anymore," and I'm laughing and suddenly 100% on board with this character. I'm still laughing at that line.

The only thing this episode was missing was a continuation of the Aukerman/Mantzoukas - Darrell Hammond beef.
-
I kind of like listening to the rough, unedited cut. It's like an accidental trip BEHIND THE SCENES.

Assuming it's not showing up more in depth later. That was my favorite episode of the year!

It is outrageous bordering on insane travesty that the Schwartz/Watts/Besser Bjork episode only made it in as B-b-b-b-bonus-s-s-s.

That being said, I laughed aloud when Tomp vetoed his way out of the cantina song
