Episode 481 - Apu from The Simpsons

Yeah but once again, he does have a family and they focus upon it repeatedly . Theres an episode dedicated to his background before he immigrated, an episode about him getting married/his mother, an episode about him having children, an episode about his infidelity, an episode about him going out of his way to express love to his wife... and thats not even mentioning anything from the last, what, 13 seasons I havent watched? Not to mention the countless episodes where he is presented as a normal member of a group of friends: the Be Sharps,The Pin Pals, He was Lisas hockey coach... In fact, they definitely focus(ed) on his family and love life more than any other character outside the immediate family. Im not saying that you're not right about the "one-dimensional brown stereotype" on the vast majority of shows, because you are, but you're absolutely (and apparently, wilfully) wrong about this.

Well that's not even close to being true

    Episode 178 — Wool Gatherer

Harris has a point about comedy not ageing well but I think he has targeted some of the wrong films and praised some of the wrong ones as well. Half Baked does not hold up at all, nor does Jackass. On the other and, what makes Dr. Strangelove no longer funny? That whole movie is basically one uncomfortable drawn out scene after another, which is basically what alt comedy is founded upon nowadays. I wonder what he thinks about Python. I went back and watched Flying Circus a bunch recently and I still think its very funny. Then again I don't mind putting it in the context of "it was okay to dress up and do silly voices in the 70s". It's easy to be skeptical about anything that was trying to be funny even 10 years ago, but I think it comes across as aimlessly cynical at a certain point. Maybe if Harris emphasized that it was more of a laugh-out-loud type funny I would agree, but I think things can just be clever or make you smile and still be "funny". I will wholeheartedly agree that MacGruber is phenomenal though, so brilliant in its stupidity.

    Episode 150 — Warrior Pose

Damnnit Howard stop trolling us Radiohead fans! Saying Radiohead peaked with Creep is like saying Steven Spielberg peaked with Duel. They're still really really good even though Kid A is their best album always and forever. I feel like them not releasing albums causes the average person to assume they fell off a cliff. I'm just tired of hearing how great the Bends is when it's not even in their top 5 releases

    CBB Live Tour Episodes

Anyone at the Toronto show remember the first joke Scott told in his two joke stand up bit. I remember the second one about the dogs in the UK but I cant remember the first other than the fact that I was dying from laughter.

    Episode 165 — He's A Lesbian

The identical twins thing flies out the window when you consider epigenetics
  8. This is a film on Netflix that me and my friend thought we could laugh at ironically. The joke was on us. This is literally the most insane and uncomfortable film ever made. It seems like it was hand crafted in a lab for How Did this Get Made. It features the single worst fake Italian accent ever, the most bizarre use of slow mo to date, and one of the most absurd twist endings of all time.

Episode 124 — Duke of Leon

Howard's gotta stop with the Radiohead fan bashing! I love the band, listen to them almost daily and think their recent albums are underrated if anything. Plus it seems people can't get over their good albums (The Bends) and appreciate the great ones (Kid A, Amnesiac). Not that Howie has to like them, but stop saying people who like them don't actually "listen to them" or whatevah!

    Episode 1 — Analyze Phish

Love the podcast! I died laughing at some parts and it's a brilliant concept that I hope continues in other forms. Phish is just awful though, jamming is the lowest form of musical talent, rockin' guitar solos are usually embarrassing. Being able to play an instrument means nothing. Lots of bands/artists who can't sing put out brilliant music (Bob Dylan, Pavement, Silver Jews) but Phish is just so... lame.
