That British naming bit just absolutely wrecks me. So fucking funny.
-
Wow, that is how 2e rolls work? That is so much better than difficulty checks of 4e!
-
Good LORD, I wish there were toys.
Β
Also, I'm new here, but what's the feel among listeners; are we approaching the end of this Collector Quest? It seems that the Old Man is the Final Boss here and that he's using Collectors to steal souls to keep himself young. Kill him and The Collectors all die, right?
Man, I would buy the shit out of a Stargoyle plushie.
Β
I feel like this quest will keep going as long as the characters are still alive. If they kill the big bad old guy, maybe they'll still have to wipe out the rest of the collectors? Or an even bigger, badder guy will be created to fill the old man's place?

Fantastic episode on its own, but then you add in James Adomian popping in? You spoil me, Nerd Poker.

Can't believe you guys didn't talk about this bit of hilarity and comedy missed opportunity:
When Kurt Thomas is attempting to rescue the princess, he defeats some bad guys by swinging on a high bar in an alley, kicking them in the face (they actually just kind of run into his feet). Then he kicks a random innocent dude on a bicycle. Thomas checks on him and says "You'll be ok," and runs off. What is the point of having him kick innocent bicycle dude?
I was totally expecting bicycle dude to be the guy who threw water in Thomas' face, and he'd make a funny comment about stupid Americans or something. But they didn't follow through.
Haha, I was there and wanted to bring that up, but I was too scared/not picked. I love how the innocent passerby takes a kick better than the bad guys.

Also gymnastics have some horrifying collateral damage.

I love that Jon Daly is in the picture.

That British arguing at the end was killing me. Also, sounds like Shannon should be doing the debating with Gemberling!

I feel like PFT never got a full handle on his ALW accent this episode, which was hilarious to me throughout.

I was pretty uncomfortable listening to this episode and didn't really realize it until i figured out that I was legitimately creeped out by the planet they found. Awesome storytelling, Mr. Sark!
-
Haha, I just went to the Last Day of School Facebook page, and one of my friends had already liked it - my niece who just graduated from high school.
Haha, same. I have three young cousins who all live in the midwest liking that page. What amazing marketing from these precocious improvers!

The guy who had an orgasm to the Carole King instrumental tease is the best. I forget your name.

The whole podcast is making my morning, but I'm losing it right now during the Marcus call.
Holy shit when he told him that Rough Gem sounded exactly like Maze I lost it.

I think this might be my favorite scene ever. This one jumped around so quickly, I loved it. Fuck fairweather fans. Can't stand to wait in a line at the parking lot for a few minutes? Fuck off and sit there until the end!

I'm curious about rewarding players when it comes to them coming up with good, clever ideas for responding to scenarios. Even if it might be something crazy. Do you ever lean towards things working with easier rolls or whatever so you don't shut down their creativeness? Or do you feel like that's cheating a bit and just stick to them rolling it out?
-
I would honestly listen to a podcast of you all talking about nothing/anything (movies, video games, music, comics, your babysitters). I know there are a ton of podcasts like that already, and you guys are all busy between your day jobs and this podcast you're already doing, but I find you all hilarious and I want everyone to know it.

I was at the live show for this, hardest I've laughed in a long time. Can't wait to relisten.

Hilarious episode! Hope to see more of these guys on future ones.

I'm really happy Matt Walsh said that whole piece about the midwest and rural people vs. city people. It's nice to hear people saying nice things about Detroit for once and defending it instead of bashing it.
-
I couldn't stop laughing at Paul Rust bringing up Tom Petty's beard falling off, no one biting on it, and then Paul immediately turning the scene around and making someone steal his beard, seemingly just to spite them for not yes anding him. That was amazing.

Amy's sincerity toward end of the episode was heartwarming. I wish she could be on the show every week.
Β
Also, sorry Amy, but "I Wanna Be The Guy" is the name of a real game, I don't think this guy was a comedian, I think he was just very sad.
I think he was being slightly funny on purpose, but it is humorous that a real game name tipped Amy's bullshit detector off.
Β
Amazing episode. I feel like I've said this a thousand times, but this might be the best episode of I4H yet. Everyone was hilarious and on top of their game!
Β
Also agreed that Amy should be on every week, she's too funny.
-
Really great episode, I thought. Also seemed like one of the ones where the group has had the most choice of what to do next. They literally could have gone anywhere in the universe! Seemed like they had trouble figuring out to do with all that freedom.

Loved the episode! Very enjoyable change of pace.
