Left Behind isn't a Catholic movie. Catholics don't really go for that whole rapture business. It's more of a born-again/Christian fundamentalist thing.

It's Been A While...

I say this frequently and am usually greeted with looks of bewilderment. I need better friends, is what I'm saying. -
Love Never Felt So Good *without* Justin Timberlake

Sadly, it's real. Since this is a remake of a z-grade Kirk Cameron movie, I have to imagine they aren't dealing with much of a budget. Or maybe they recognize that it's obviously a comedy and made a poster appropriate for that.

A bit saccharine maybe, but overall I enjoyed this.

A movie I love despite the fact that it goes completely off the rails in the last 30 minutes. I actually still enjoy Event Horizon and the whole 'haunted house in space' concept. Like I said I think a competent director could have pulled off something better. It's pretty telling that Anderson's 'director's cut' of the movie just ramps up the gore to even more absurd levels but does nothing to address the story problems.

It's fine to say Armen isn't your cup of tea, but keeping in mind he clearly reads these forums I think it's worth remembering Wheaton's Law

Episode 14 — Staind Glass
seanotron replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Oh and even though I love Mr Aukserman, I must take issue with his assertion that 1989/1990 were terrible years for music. 1989 alone had Doolitle by the Pixies, Disintegration by the Cure, Stone Roses self-titled, Cosmic Thing by the B-52s and Automatic by Jesus & Mary Chain. Oh and a little-known soundtrack by Prince called BATMAN! If this episode wasn't so amazing I would have to declare it non-canonical. -
Really? I never got that vibe from that episode.

IIRC (and to be fair, it's also BEEN A WHILE since I've seen these) this was still better than Lost World, simply for the fact that it basically repeated the formula from the first (people trapped on island with runaway dinosaurs) instead of trying to do mini-Godzilla in San Diego like the 2nd one. But this one has Tea Leoni doing her neurotic schtick the entire movie, which will drive a sane person mad within 5 minutes, let alone 90.

All the reviews I've read for Edge of Tomorrow are actually really positive. I think Cruise has found his career sweet spot in Sci-Fi. He's a nutter but I love him in stuff like this.
