I agree he doesn't get his due in the public eye, but usually when you say someone is 'the poor man's such and such' you aren't paying them a compliment. Carpenter's Halloween was much closer to Hitchcock than a z-grade slasher. There's actual suspense in that movie. Zombie just hillbillified it (like he does with everything) and made the deaths more grotesque. I'm not saying the original is exactly Shakespeare, but it's miles better than Zombie's version.

For any of you that dig LCD Soundsystem, you should check out Shut Up and Play the Hits, which is about their final show at Madison Square Garden. Reggie Watts is in it, doing a duet on 'You Can't Hide' with James Murphy. Probably goes without saying but it's pretty damn awesome.

Pretty sure Ghostbusters 3 will never happen. It's just a thing Dan Aykroyd likes to talk about when he's not talking about actual ghosts. We're probably better off. Also, I can no longer listen to The Monster Mash without hearing The Monster Fuck.

Great episode, Amber absolutely killed. Todd was hilarious as always but I was just super impressed with how quickly Amber took to the whole thing (despite all her classic WYR blunders).
