So it turns out maybe James was actually going easy on Dov Charney... http://gawker.com/here-are-the-gross-horny-texts-dov-bad-daddy-charney-1713322622

I thought Rob Zombie's Halloween was just awful. There's a reason why Carpenter referred to Myers as 'The Shape' in the original Halloween script. The less you know about him the more frightening he is.

This basically looks like Vacation by way of The Hangover. Everything about that preview just screamed gross to me. And considering Ed Helms for Frank Drebin just shows that whoever is involved in that reboot doesn't understand why Police Squad/The Naked Gun worked so well.

That's so strange to me. I have never found their voices even remotely similar and definitely not to the point where I'd be confused about who was talking.

I think the remake's biggest sin was being just okay. It really wasn't that bad, but it was also totally forgettable. Between that and the Total Recall reboot, I think the moral of the story is just don't remake Verhoeven films (at least his sci-fi ones).

Didn't Kumail say this one wasn't any fun, though?

I believe King famously disowned Dreamcatcher and claimed it was the result of too much oxy.

Seeing this as a kid, I remember being disappointed by the voice actor swap outs. Of all the turtles, Raphael (who was basically the lead character in the first movie) & Donatello had the most recognizable voices, and those were the voices they decided to change. They just sounded wrong. And having re-watched this and the first one recently, they don't even feel like movies taking place in the same universe, let alone the same characters. You go from Raphael being beaten into a coma that lasts for days in the first one, to the Turtles never even throwing a kick at Shredder (despite standing 2 feet from him on numerous occasions) in this one.

I feel safe in saying this movie is much, much worse than Veronica Mars. In every way possible.

I'd say it's more the Star Trek 3 of the Mad Max series. It's not as good as Road Warrior or Fury Road and it has some plot structure issues, but it's still got great stuff in it. The Mad Max series has thankfully been spared a Star Trek V.

Don't sweat it! I totally get where you're coming from. I also don't like actors just turning on their own work to look above it all. But I also think it's fine when actors have a sense of humor about movies they've been in. For example, Harrison Ford is good at poking fun of his projects without seeming like a complete dick.

I think Channing just admitted that the movie was confusing and he didn't fully understand the script. It's not like he shat all over the thing, Alec Guinness-style.

It's a parody.

There is no commonly agreed upon start date for Millennials. Some academics use 1980, some use 1982 and others go as far as 1985.

I don't care anything about these movies, but I do enjoy having Homeofthe Whopperman on the program and this is basically becoming an annual tradition so I'm fine with it.

Apparently Rachel Dolezal is attempting a shot-for-shot remake of this movie.

Is she in heaven, Mike?

I had no idea that name mispronunciations were such a bugbear for HDTGM fans. You've been put on notice, Mr. Dangerously! IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME... RE: Mylah's acting, I've never been too impressed with her as she never seemed capable of emoting anything beyond unaffected, but I have noticed a steeper decline in her last few films, which also just so happens to coincide with the time she's been with Ashton Kutcher. COINCIDENCE? Probably.

You mean the 90s?

I don't see this one happening for a lot of reasons, but I think two major factors against it are the length and the pacing. It's a looooong movie that moves very, very slowly.

I know it's a break with protocol and 2nd Opinions is always sourced from Amazon, but boy, some of the Google Play reviews for this thing are gold. Like this guy: 5 Stars THIS IS WHY HE GOES TO THE MOVIES. Then there's this guy, who I am pretty sure is just straight up threatening to kill everyone: Also there are a ton of reviews praising it and talking about how terrible Guardians of the Galaxy was. YOINKS.

That 3rd one is just so damn saccharine and corny. For all the plot issues that Lost World has (and it has them in spades) it just doesn't irritate me nearly as much as JP3. I rewatched them all over the weekend, and JP3 was the only one I had to turn off.
