    Sleepwalkers (1992)

That's awesome! How many days did you work on this?

    Episode 158 — Ancient Aliens

One of my favorite quotes on this subject was by Gene Roddenberry - "No, ancient astronauts did not build the pyramids; human beings built them, because they're clever and they work hard."

    Mystery Men (1999)

I think they call it 'Champion City'.

    Avatar (2009)

It's basically like calling the MacGuffin 'The MacGuffin'.

    Warm Bodies

I didn't even notice the music being that obvious, but that's what happens when you watch too many CW shows.

    Mannequin: On the Move (1991)

Cursing people by turning them into mannequins was apparently all the rage in the ancient world.

Honestly, this would be my biggest objection to it. This movie is 3 effin' hours long.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

I think the next episode should be about the overuse of painkillers and its effect on message board friendships.

The movie *looked* great. It was delicious eye candy and something we really hadn't seen before. But the story is nonsense, just a re-tooled noble savage tale with the least interesting white savior ever. I don't think an episode would be all that worth it, as it's been done to death much like the Star Wars prequels, Indy 4, Showgirls, etc., but I wouldn't mind an episode on How Does Sam Worthington Keep Getting Hired? Seriously, he's the male January Jones. He just plays the same boring, unaffected character in every movie.

    Mystery Men (1999)

There are a lot of things I liked about this movie, like all of Tom Waits non-lethal weaponry & Wes Studi's character that spoke entirely in cliches. I just think it's a bit miscast.

    Warm Bodies

I actually liked most of the things you're pointing out as being bad. I don't care for those Seth Graham-Smith stories, but I thought this was kind of charming.

    Episode 129 — Professional Liar

Yeah, I'm a dude and I'm totally fine having Baz injected into my eyeballs. Sunscreen was an essay by Mary Schmich, Baz just put it to music.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

The thing with Birdemic 2 is that it is, in many ways, worse than the original because it's too knowing and still manages to be terrible. The earnestness is what makes the first one fun to mock. That's all gone in the 2nd one. I think that's why The Happening would actually be a good episode, because M Night still thinks he's making good movies with deep messages even though he isn't.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

I'm guessing he recorded it from England (probably in a hotel room) since they're recording episodes of NTSF:SD:SUV there.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

And yet, it still wasn't as bad as Syfy's attempt to steampunk Alice in Wonderland. Somehow they managed to waste Kathy Bates, Tim Curry and Harry Dean Stanton in that pile.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

I watched Tin Man, and I don't think Zooey was the problem there. No one came out smelling of roses in that thing.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

RE: The Happening, I do think it's somewhat telling that Paul didn't mention the #1 movie on the FYI site. I figure he's just hoping another movie will overtake it, because honestly, who wants to watch that piece of crap again?

    Star Trek: Into Darkness

It's so easy to explain away the ocean thing with existing Star Trek gadgetry (the ship has shields, something called a structural integrity field, etc.). I think people just enjoy piling on JJ Abrams because he's a big deal right now. Trek films have been full of silly plot points/holes since they started and the new films are no different. Honestly, as much as I enjoy io9, they tend to go on near-vendettas against things they don't like. And Rob is far from their best writer.

    Episode 220 — 4 PayDays & A Baby

In your face, Wompler-Haters. IN YOUR FACE! Also, womp it up dot com slash biz forward slash jamz.

    Doctor Who: The Movie (1996)

It was made by the BBC as they own the rights, it was just a joint production with Fox & Universal.

    Pink Flamingos

Yeah, I don't think John Waters movies work for this format.
