  1. For those wondering why our intrepid heroes weren't a bit braver, keep in mind this is who they were sitting at a table with

The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987)

I didn't see this because my parents wouldn't let me have anything related to the Garbage Pail Kids. I'm thinking that was for the best.

    The Lone Ranger (2013)

It's okay, I knew which funny you were referring to. I love Archer.

I'd say that Busfield and Quinlan were desperate but this was a time when both were in fairly high demand, so I'm just going to blame this on drugs.

    The Lone Ranger (2013)

Oh, this deserves to be discussed simply for the fact they cast Johnny Depp as a Native-American. And yes, i'm aware he claims that somewhere along the line he has NA blood, but come on. Iron Eyes Cody was more Indian than Johnny Depp.
  6. I'm hoping since it was mentioned as a possibility last Halloween there's a chance it will work out this year. I have to admit, Sleepaway Camp was solid competition. But this movie is nutty in a different way.
  7. I enjoyed Jennifer's Body. It's not a straight-up horror film, it's a very deliberate mix of styles (teen/drama/comedy). It didn't all work, but I don't think it's an out and out bad movie.

    Demolition Man

I would like to see them take this one on. It's fun and watchable, but also ridiculous and terrible.

    Con Air.

Seriously, this movie needs the HDTGM treatment. It features so many HDTGM staples: Ridiculous Cage, inconsistent accents, elaborate villain deaths, etc. Plus, it ends on a stinger where Steve Buscemi escapes and we're supposed to laugh and cheer, despite the fact that we are told in the movie that he has murdered 37 people.

    Episode 117.5 — 3/1/13 TWO CHARTED 56

I just read up on it, and apparently they installed a third headlight on the hood. So the other lights were stationary, but when the car made turns at a certain angle the center light would activate and follow the turn. But apparently there were laws against a car having more than 2 headlights, so they designed a special cover for it. Wild stuff.

Yeah, Lynch's Dune straddles a weird line. It does have a b-movieness to it, but it also features amazing set/production design. Lynch inserted some seriously odd stuff in there that was never present in the original text, and to this day a lot of it still has me scratching my head.

    The Wicker Man

I've only seen the version that was released in theaters, which featured the hilarious ADR of Cage saying 'Oh god, you're breaking my legs' without actually showing his legs being broken. It made it much funnier.

    She's all that

Oh don't do that! I didn't mean to seem dismissive if that's how I came across. Just my opinion, which is hardly definitive in any way.

    Episode 117.5 — 3/1/13 TWO CHARTED 56

I only remember because I saw a museum exhibit on Tucker which featured a Tucker Torpedo (I believe that's what the car was called). It was a beautiful car, pretty futuristic for the time I think.

    Freaked (1993)

I lived through the 90s, but I still couldn't tell you what was going on that brought about things like this and Nothing But Trouble. Prozac maybe?

    Episode 117.5 — 3/1/13 TWO CHARTED 56

Oh, and I'm fairly sure Howard was talking about Tucker: The Man and His Dream, featuring Jeff Bridges (Lebowski) as Preston Tucker, a small car manufacturer who went up against the Detroit Big Three (Ford, GM and Chrysler).

    Episode 117.5 — 3/1/13 TWO CHARTED 56

I'm not sure I've ever heard Howard this juiced. Other than when he's discussing Jaws, of course.

I'll redirect any possible Cronenberg Fan's wrath to me by saying I think he's at his best when adapting other people's work (and being reigned in by collaborators). His body horror films hold no interest for me whatsoever. But I think it's hard to argue that The Fly, The Dead Zone, A History of Violence and Eastern Promises aren't exceptionally well done films.

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III

TMNT 2 might be better, as it has Vanilla Ice and his inexplicable dance number. Plus Ninja rap!

    Poltergeist 3

Yup! We even get Evil Possessed Lara Flynn Boyle!

    She's all that

The only problem I see with She's All That is that it's so infamous and representative of bad teen romcoms that it has basically become the definitive formula. Hot girl who is ugly because she wears glasses, douche-y dudebro who learns the meaning of love by dating her, empty-headed blonde cheerleader vs intellectual brunette...there are no actual characters in the movie, just archetypes. It's such well-worn territory that I'm not sure it would be that much fun to pick apart.

    Fireproof (or October Baby)

I refuse to watch this movie under the terms of the 4th Geneva Convention.

To Catch a Yetti (w/ young Meatloaf)

So it's like Hobgoblins, but with Meatloaf.
