  1. The proportions of the picture alone have sold me on this episode!

    Β

This made me look up some heights. I've noticed the Sklars seem pretty short in most pics. Google says they are 5'9", and it says Will is 6'3", but the height difference seems way more than that. Google also says Reggie is 6'0" and they were like 6 inches shorter than him on the CBBTV last week.

    Β

Engineer Brett, how tall do you think they really are?

The Nerd poker guys (and girl) are my favorite human beings that I don't know in real life. Attacking them without warrant will always bring out a protective instinct, and possibly a slanderous warsong from Patton Oswalt.

Comedians making fun of other comedians. HOW TREACHEROUS! BURN HEEERR! BURRRRNN HERRR!!

    Β

I hope this keeps up in the thread so Scott can give another sincere thanks to the forums in the holiday episode.

  3. And for the tiresomely earnest comment quotient, CATFISH the film is a fake documentary about presenting one's self fraudulently online, or at least the protagonists doing so. Hence, catfishing.

    Β

Which comes from the fishing world, when you got a fish on the line and you think it's a valuable fish, but then turns out to be a fatty catfish.

  4. Was I the only one bothered by Emily V. Gordon's made up stories of sex in outer space? I don't know about you guys, but when my Kulap is temporarily replaced, I like her replacement not to be spilling pseudo-intellectual propaganda nonsense. Oh, you read a fiction book about mars and you're spreading it to my earwolves as fact? I do not like it. NO, we haven't had sex in space. There have been hoax documents released, and fiction books documenting what it could be like... but please... don't spread it as fact and confuse Michael Motorcycle.

    Β

In packing for Mars (a non fiction book), Mary Roach has a section where she discusses sex in space. Although there have been no confirmed instances of it happening, it's still highly likely. In 1992 two astronauts who met in training got secretly married before the mission and disclosed it when it was too late to put in a substitute, so they still went into space together. You'd have to imagine they would be doin the dirty in space. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_married_couples_among_space_travelers

Also, Ron Funches is such a goddamn delight. As a married heterosexual I want to snuggle on a couch with him.

  5. Regarding the rain improving his "radar": it's like they thought instead of daredevil being blind, everything around him was invisible. If rain came down on an invisible object you'd be able to see the surfaces where the rain is hitting. If it actually was like radar the rain would make it more difficult to see, since the rain would cause a bunch of interference. Maybe the writer has a fundementally flawed idea of what blindness is.

Funny Todd was talking about being on sitcoms because I saw this episode of MWC the other day.

    Β

This was a fun bro-hang. I love character bits, but I really do enjoy when Scott just has fun non-character episodes like this one, the Huebel/Neko/Lennon one, Neil and Reggie, Rogen, etc.

Man, Todd Glass is the white version of black don't crack.

  7. He's a likeable enough dude I can see it growing on me over time. I think I'll check out "you made it weird" and see what repeated exposure does.

    Β

The live episodes are better than a lot of the in studio ones, especially if you aren't used to it. The recent one that's live at the Troubadour is really good. Pete's love of new-agey bullshit can be annoying after awhile, that's my main gripe.

  8. The Home Improvement tag on the Seinfeld theme really got me. I cackled loudly at the sink in the bathroom at work. I'm pretty sure I frightened people.

    Β

Are you wearing headphones in the bathroom at work?

Also, Eric Andre rules. Saw his live show in Chicago last year. Standing room show. Comes in and moshes through the audience, gets on stage bashes a bunch of stuff, throws a plant in a pot into the audience and it shattered and dirt got everywhere, then got back on stage and poured mcdonalds fries on his head and then hurled a big mac into the audience. I got hit by a patty and got burger grease stain on it and secret sauce on my pants.

    Β

Also, one of the bits was they had a juggler on stage, and the music slowly faded into nazi marching music and it really seemed like the guy did not know that was going to happen. There also was supposed to be a michael jackson impersonator but I guess he figured out it was going to be some sort of a put on so he left.
