Not really sure what this episode was trying to get at - seems like a vague non-commitment to the idea that slang shouldn' be used in a script? Don't even think that's a fair criticism, anyway. Richard Price, one of the writers on the show and who also wrote 'Clockers', tried using actual slang, but by the time his books came out the slang was way out of date, so he would always make up his own. Slang has a short lifespan and the way it's used in The Wire isn't patronizing in the least. Besides, what would a perfect script for The Wire look like? Trying to PC a Wire script I think would go against everything the show was trying to get at, which is that race and race relations is super fucking complicated. I don't know any other shows that really tackles so many different facets to America's relationship with people of color. To equivocate on a small matter such as slang seems to go against the whole idea behind what 'Yo, Is This Racist?' is about, which is to step back and think about how what you say or do affects others. Kinda disappointing that Andrew Ti and guest gloss over everything else the show has to say about race

Unfortunately that would be infringing copyright, "Breast Milk Island" has already been picked up by Fox for pilot season ZOOOM This joke is ©2013. All rights reserved.

I'm still having trouble downloading it from my iphone. I'm using the app 'downcast', but it's pulling directly from the RSS feed so not sure why it's still causing problems. Haven't had any issues up until now.

Haha, I don't get all the Steve-O hate, I thought it was great and a completely different dynamic. Steve-O might be better suited for Howard Stern or the like, but still had some great stories and sincerity. He might have a million hypocrisies, but I bet a lot of us do if we were ever taken to task about our beliefs. It's like he's saying about the vegans shopping at whole foods thing - you can't ever escape contributing to the problem, you can only choose how you participate in it. Loved the episode, nowhere near the worst guest.

Yeah this would speed things along nicely. I can understand they're getting the hang of 4e, so probably give them a few more episodes and they'll get used to the new rules and things will clip along nicely. It's gonna be like a video game, yeah? You'll suck for the first 20 hours or so before you become a roleplaying bad ass. Even easier than that, the D&D online compendium comes with a character builder that will automatically put each players' power cards on their character sheet. Saves a bundle of time of having to search through all the cards. Requires a subscription, which kind of sucks. https://www.wizards.com/dnd/tool.aspx?x=dnd/4new/tool/characterbuilder YOU CAN GO STRAIGHT TO HELL
