the musician that Paul mentioned Keaton studying with is Trevor Rabin, who also played guitar in the Jack Frost band. He is best known as the guitarist for Yes in the 90125 through Talk albums. He has also done several film scores including Armageddon and Glimmer Man.

HBO showed all of Treme s3 a couple weeks ago in the runup to s4 and the Neville Bros were in one episode. When Aaron Neville was singing all I could think of was Horatio's impression (he did it on SNL at least once) and how great it is. Then of course I was surprised and delighted to hear him today, in all his cocoa buttery goodness.

Great work on those pics, MrWompler! "Don't talk to my sister like she's some dumb butthole baby"

Here's a gif I made of Ku-Ku demonstrating "cramstuffed" Full gifset here.

Not sure if joking...or didn't get the reference: The "Word" thing absolutely needs to stop.

Have you seen Ryan North's blog going through the Novelization of Back to the Future? It's pretty great: http://btothef.tumblr.com/tagged/bttf/chrono He basically compares it page-by-page to the real movie. For me, I had the novelization of Can't Hardly Wait because I loved that movie so much and I was a dumb teen!

They said it, they said the thing!! [gestures to icon] And rightly deserved as this movie was so upsetting. It was so jarring hearing [one of the guys who played] Dumbledore be evil. I'm not cool enough to have seen his other films that were mentioned - oops. There's no way I could have handled this as a kid. I'm still kind of too sensitive now to handle toys getting blown apart by each other. In conclusion and in summary, Trevor Horn, how could you.

I loved Neil pouncing on the "Faith" reference to get back to George Michael.

Heavens to Betsy, I've invented an applause machine!!

"How about I just sit in this chair, and then I do this thing where I just...punch 'em" Please tell me some of you thought of Sit and Be Fit during Paul's story from The League's AD about Seagal's preferred chair-style combat. (37:40)

It's very soothing. If folks are going to do impressions on podcasts, I say way less Bane and way more Steven Seagal.

She's viral buzz marketing Ass "Backwards" That is a great point! My beef is just that it's misleading. Like if you told me there was a movie called "Glimmer Man" about cops trying to catch a serial killer, I would think that was the cool code name of the killer. Like "Zodiac" or "Son of Dad."

I guess that was needlessly defensive. I am not ashamed, I just acknowledge that others are bigger fans than I. Also I absolutely need to see those dog pictures!

I think the movie Howie was trying to remember was "Valley Girl" which had Nic Cage as well as EG Daily. Now onto an embarrassing story. I'm a sometimes-watcher of Adventure Time (I like it, not a die-hard by any means but it's a fun show). When the genderswapped Fionna and Cake episode aired, I tweeted that I thought it would have been cool if Jill Talley voiced the Ice Queen, since of course Tom Kenny voices the King. (They met at the credits and now they're married.) I was careful to give Grey props because it wasn't even like she did a bad job, it was more just "comedy nerd wants novelty casting." Well apparently that was the *wrong* thing to say: When it happened I thought it was a GdL superfan lashing out at me. Imagine my surprise to listen to Whooch today and find out that this is her husband! As soon as she mentioned the red-haired avatar I was like "oh shit." So he sticks up for her on the twitters, which is a nice thing for a partner to do.

I relistened to this tonight because I was trying to find it for my friend, and I am CRYING laughing at the Jeopardy chart. "What is sand?" "That's correct." "Ohhh!"

Neko seems like a fun lady! Like how she jumped right in. Also I can totes relate to her Jean Kasem obsession. I wanted to have her hair so, so bad. I always liked when she would pop in on Cheers. Thyme Lennon.

Really enjoyed this episode. Owen Benjamin seems like a great guy. I forgot that was him in House Bunny--a pretty underrated comedy in my books. Thanks!

Episode 51 — REWIND THIS!
rachelpi replied to Brett Arnold's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
This was a GREAT episode, so relatable! I really want to go to my dad's house and get all the old VHS tapes. He still has our first/only VCR, too, from 1985. I don't know if it still works but he's not the type of person who would keep something that had stopped working. Thanks for the tip on this documentary. I definitely want to see it when it comes out. -
