EPISODE 180 — #RaceTogether

Oh man. The string of sketches from #Racetogether on was just brilliant; probably the darkest the show has been, but not needlessly dark. I'm always amazed at how no matter how crass/dark/gross/weird these scenes get they're always about something. -

I don't feel like being coy or ironic so I'll just say this episode was really fantastic. This show, and all of you goobers on the boards, really do bring a lot of joy to my life. Not that there aren't other sources of joy, but that doesn't mean this doesn't matter. Joy is good. Y'all are a bunch of cool cats, and by the time Hal got to his crazy movie-tourettes I was in hysterics. Thanks- 221 replies

Episode 75 — Shelby Fero Again, Our Close Friend
JacobCrites replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Just wanted to say I'm kind of disappointed in all of us (but especially in everyone that's not me). Last thread got 40 pages. This week we don't even break 25? We don't even deserve "hot" status. -

And more talk about lizard brains. And mentioning the two movies that they've been in at every opportunity in every episode. And the time that they met Lorne Michaels. And yelling. -

Don't tell this to Dan Engler, but I think Shelby Fero is an attractive and talented young comedian with a unique voice and promising career. -

This is from the last thread but I've just been like way depressed. Had a bunch of health stuff happen. It's whatever, I'm doing better now. I've been keeping up with these insane 40-page threads, just haven't felt like I had a whole lot to add. Now that I've brought the mood sufficiently down, I just want to talk about how ON POINT the boyz were in this ep. Like, it is so cool to smoke, and to talk about it a lot. This was like a Benson podcast, man. That dude is insane. There's something really funny and not even remotely sad about basically an old man insisting on talking about pot all the time. It's just so unique and crazy for a comedian to adopt what I like to call a "stoner" persona. -

You rock. This was the best way to start my day. My Hazie-boner increased like 3 sizes. Also I apologize to Hayes and presumably others for making you think about my boner. ALSO also: Sorry I dipped out early. I feel like a fool, and it wasn't even worth it because I lost that smash bros. game. -

EPISODE 336 — NOT Farts and Procreation 4

And I believe in the second Farts and Pro we get the immortal words from Ghost Harris: "You gotta keep it fresh to death in the after-after" -
EPISODE 336 — NOT Farts and Procreation 4
JacobCrites replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
The whole Bom Betty section made me laugh to a ridiculous degree. I'm always bummed that Scott feels like each Farts & Pro gets worse. I listened to them all just a couple days ago, and they're all equally funny (though the first had the benefit of being unexpected). Harris and Adam's Inception-style scenework in the third episode, featuring Chelsea as Sherry OTerry and Scott as Ping Pong Jones, is one of the best moments in the history of the podcast, and the second episode has Rod Aug and Blaze, who are at least as funny as Brian Pieces and Jack SJunior. -
EPISODE 336 — NOT Farts and Procreation 4
JacobCrites replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I had a feeling this would be coming. I'm still bummed out about this. Harris really was an inspiration; I feel like he helped shape my own sense of humor. He brought a lot of joy to my life in dark times. I've said it many times before, but Podcasts are so personal that you feel like you really know the people in them. And the "podcast community" (well the LA one at least) is such an insular group that you feel like you're in some kind of tight group of friends with everyone. So this hit harder than most celebrity deaths because podcasts are so personal, and Harris is so open, that so many people really felt like they knew him. So this has been a massive bummer. I didn't actually know him, but I do think he would have liked to know that this weird, dumb, silly, hilarious show came out. Because everything he says in this episode was hilarious.
