    Cakeboss: The Game

If you wanted to make things easier on yourself (not that there's anything easy about game design) you could just mod Mario 64 so he has a chef's hat, change the sound-effects, make all the background music music from the show, and swap in some new character models. Like if you could somehow just put a new face on bowser and call him the pie minister that would be pretty dope. All people want is to see a little Mario with a B on his chef's hat (for Boss!) running around yelling "Cake Boss!" and when he dies, of course, instead of "Mama Mia!" he'll yell "Maron!" or "Pasta Vazoo!" Plus people mod N64 games all the time and Nintendo doesn't care. Somebody recently modded the game to allow co-op with Luigi.
  2. That's sadly the main reason I wanted to see them at that venue
  3. Matt should make the show he wants to make. It's insanity to make case closed a different podcast. One of the key things that makes I4H interesting is the many different sources of inspiration; we've had letters from his dead dad, twitter suggestions, YouTube videos, newspaper articles, listener stories, and yes, sometimes music and debates. Even if he does lose listeners due to people not "getting" case closed or the music, eventually he will gain listeners who do like it. When I watch SNL, I know there are going to be certain recurring bits/characters that I don't like. I always hated Wiig's "Target Lady." Just didn't find it funny at all. But I still loved (and still love) SNL because even if there's stuff I don't like, there will eventually be something I do like. That's just the nature of sketch/variety shows. I4H is a sketch show, and it's increasingly becoming sort of a variety show. But it's also this cool, punk rock self-made thing that's totally Matt Besser, and I don't want him to change his vision for the show just because there's a loud group of dissenters. People just like to complain about stuff. Nobody made people listen to that free U2 album but people acted like their rights were violated. And all they did was get free music. So people will complain. It's best to ignore them (most of the time).

    Episode 325 — Musical Organs

"Lotta people talkin' bout 'the season' this year!" Right out of the gate Scott's droppin' hot quotes!
  5. Every time Chris Evans plays baseball and misses the ball and gets struck out, I get totally bummed out. So needless to say I'm anti Chris Miss. I don't want him to miss!
  6. Well bros, I spent a ridiculous amount of money on U2 tickets today! I'm seeing the Lads from Liverpool at Inglewood (Goin' to...INGLEWOOD, now!) on the 26 and 27 of May. I'm going to the Forum, which if I'm remembering, is where a certain Scott first saw U2. This is going to be where I first see U2, so I'm feelin' pretty cool right now.

    Cakeboss: The Game

This the best. Obviously instead of "Yahoo!" he should yell "Cakeboss!"

Episode 28 — The Hooray Show

    When dat next ep?
  9. Did they sit down during this episode? I listened to that NNF ep as well and couldn't tell if Matt ended up preferring sitting down or standing up during the live I4H's
  10. Paul Brittain is a master at playing slimy, introverted, boring weirdos. He needs to be on more things.
  11. PS I would also be into a meet-up. I do not live in the Bay Area, as you can see, but I'm planning on seeing U2 when they come to california and hitting up some UCB shows, so if anyone would be up for it we could talk U2 to each other.
  12. This automatically makes you one of the best people. According to Zach, there's a deleted scene (which he calls maybe his proudest moment) where he asks one of the leaders of the KKK if he's ever seen Big Mama's House 2.
  13. I'm not sure I understand the question, but I like the crust. I like the whole pizza.
  14. A quick google search brought me to this site: http://twangville.com/ It's a cool blog that has featured a number of the artists you've had on the show, like Cory Branan, Austin Lucas and Jon Snodgrass. Seems like they're pretty legit and have a significant readership. Hope that helps!
  15. The complaints against Case Closed are insane. Matt doesn't force anybody to call in to the show, and doesn't force any of you to listen to it. Sexy Robot even puts a warning before the segment, because she knows you weenies hate it so much. That's right. Weenies. Also, one case closed segment will often inspire like three or four scenes, and you know what exists? A fast forward button. It's really an astonishing achievement and I would encourage you to seek it out at your earliest convenience. It bugs me. Improv4Humans is a free show that has brought so much joy to my life. This has been one of the worst years of my life, and stuff like this has inspired me and kept me from losing my mind. There's no good improv comedy in Columbus, Ohio (there's not a lot of good anything that isn't college football) so this show is a gift, and has introduced me to a world of comedy that I didn't even know existed. I'm not trying to suck up here, I just genuinely feel annoyed by people getting all in a tizzy about one segment of a show that they can skip if they want to.

Episode 324 — Golden Duchess Cruise Lines

GUYS. We've settled this: celebrities do not want to be called attractive. It's rude and it makes them uncomfortable.
  17. Nobody, that's who! Nobody didn't get goosebumps! I loved that movie so much. When Max slaps that guy in the rat costume and his head flips backwards? Highly comedic stuff, right there. Also, it has this scene, which is one of the finest ever created:
  18. As a fellow 22 year old, I sympathized with Eric's plight. But boy oh boy did I miss his interviews. "Are you a lakers fan? Yeah...uh...me too. How's your relationship with your family?"
  19. You know, I thought once they started having callers on RSS the show went downhill a little bit, and I was glad when they dropped that segment. It felt like a period of the show when they didn't really know what they wanted it to be, and lost confidence in what they were doing. (Maybe just because it took up such a large portion of the show for awhile). However, I can see it being totally awesome with their HH personas; there is much joy to be had in hearing Sean and Hayes be super mean to people for no reason.
  20. And maybe see some college girls

    Russell Brand's new direction.

I read this as Russel Brands Nude Erection.
  22. He was fine. Not bad, but it was sort of a bummer since the point of it was clearly that he wants to remain relevant in the comedy world of cool young people, and for MY money (of which, to be fair, I have given none) Hollywood Handbook is the coolest young people podcast out there. So basically he came across like a lame weirdo on a cool people podcast. I know that Sean and Hayes says they's nerds, but really they're cool people and we all know it.
  23. Gotta be honest it might be my album of the year. I'm pretty hip to the young people tunes (I, embarrassingly, am on pitchfork like every two seconds even though their reviews infuriate me) but I just really, really connect with the songs on this album. Probably not the best in terms of creativity (I would give that to Thom Yorke, whose new solo album has his most ambitious non-Radiohead stuff to date) but I think it's my favorite. I'm also with Scott that Coldplay's new album is really, really fantastic. So I'm losing some hipster cred this year. I'll make it up next year I PROMISE EDIT: I forgot about Run the Jewels. That's def the album of the year. Ignore my previous comment.
  24. I feel like Matt would really like the National if he gave them a shot. Basically I want Matt to befriend all of my favorite bands so we can hear them do solo sets on I4H. Someone get Matt in contact with Thom Yorke!
