TJ is just a masterful character. I grew up with so many people exactly like him. Adam has nailed every cadance and obnoxious expression, while still managing to make him a genuinely sympathetic character.

Stayin' up for four straight days with them hats.

So this thread is six pages...I'm guessing I missed something. I thought it was a fine episode, nothing to get worked up about either way. It was worth it just to hear Retta say "Hidjious".

To be fair, adding Jon Hamm to anything will almost inevitably make it better.

One of the funniest episodes ever. Gabrus has quickly become one of my favorite I4H guests. I really hope the jumping-into-scenes-during-the-introductory-questions keeps up, it lead to some classic scenes.

You're all bloody next to that beautiful fridge!

Amber Kenny. She's amazing on Sean Conroy's podcast The Long Shot.
-
Another classic.
Also, BOBBY MATTHEWS!
I've loved every song he's done on i4h.
Â
Also, I hope Matt isn't too bummed about his career. Because improv4humans is one of the most creative, brilliant podcasts in the universe. And he should be proud of that--not many people can say they're one of the leading creative minds in a new creative medium.

PARTY ON, GIRTH!
Â
One of the best episodes of the year.
-
This episode deserved a podcastee.

I feel like this episode is a great encapsulation of how this show has evolved from a series of individual sketches to *episodes* with hilariously-evolving callbacks. The fact that they kept finding ways to tie it all back in to the first sketch just blew my mind.

The prequel to Ironic Hitler Teapot!

Yeah, definitely seemed like the crowd was there for the guests and not the show, which made it a less-than-great episode.
Â
Still, the Kickstart and Diaper Eaters riffs were brilliant.

Ugh, I hope they don't do Indy 4. Everything that can be said about that movie has already been said a thousand times.
Â
I voted for Troll 2, because it's a classic, and somehow We Hate Movies and The Flop House haven't covered it yet.

Another fantastic episode. The sketches were as thoughtful as they were funny, and if this episode is an indication of what we can expect from the future of Case Closed, count me in. It was a genuinely thought-provoking discussion with well-informed guests.

Cordero is such a genius. We need to get an Improv4humans alumnus episode with Eugene Cordero, Pam Murphy and Neil Campbell. And Matt Besser I guess.

Wet blood fart.

Never thought any episode could top the perfect Superman III discussion, but this might have done it. Amazing work, guys.

Another hilarious episode. Feels like forever since there's been a clunker.
Â
I'm also hereby making a formal request to have Neil Campbell as the guest for the entire episode. Feels like he always gets brought in in the last 20 minutes, which feels borderline criminal given how brilliant he is.

Amazing, as always.
The live feed cut out for me during the last sketch, but up until then it was a blast. Matt just seemed so, as Shannon put it, gleeful. His one-on-one scene with Rust was a joy to watch, and seeing how (almost) effortlessly Huskey jumped into the scene was really cool.

I have not listened to improve4humans before but with a title like "Fill My Butt With Air!" how could I skip it?
You've picked a fine episode to start with. Might I recommend the Best Of episodes next?
-
I still think my favorite joke of the episode is Horatio saying his name Jose Dente, and then Sean's name being Joe Dent.
Â
Also:
Matt: Can you use a human razor on a cat?
Sean: That's a metaphysical question.
-
I have trouble trusting someone who has never gotten fucked up on alcohol nor drugs, even once. Not that there's anything cool about inebriation, but why are you so afraid to lose control? What do you think will happen?
Can't tell if you're joking, but I don't do any of that stuff. I've suffered from chronic health problems since I was a little kid, so I really value days when I genuinely feel good. Messing with good health and losing control is my worst nightmare. It's not like I don't have fun. I just don't like losing my mind.

I re-listened to this one today. Every sketch is Best Of material. I really hope there's some deeper cuts on Best Of I4H Vol. 3. This earlier material as just as good as the new stuff.
-
Me too. Especially because they keep playing that danged advert on CBB where Scott says "The new episode has just dropped."
Â
But I appreciate the update, Julia! I guess I'm just more excited for this Owen & TJ project than Anchorman 2.
Episode 76 — Foodie Terrorists

I feel like I say this every other week, but this was an absolute classic. The potato chip comercial audition sketch is one for the history books.
