Episode 2 — Blake Anderson, Our Close Friend
robinsbruce replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Wow guys, it's only been a couple of years since that fateful Tuesday afternoon??? It seems like ages ago although I remember it well. RSS was going off the air, I was young and afraid of change... I was downright bussin up (that's what us kids used to say). But now here you two come waltzing back into my life with scoops on scoops on scoops of scoops on scoops on scoops just for us handbook-heads to om-nom, scrom-nom, gobble down on. You may as well call this show hollyweird scoop-book cause you bros are just dishing that stuff out like it's your job. The troops are going to be so fat and bloated from all these goddamned beautiful scoops. No wonder you got so much bad vibes back on that first episode. (vibes are a thing right?) The executive types are afraid of you punk-rock-writer-bros and your lack of respect for the establishment. I was confused way back then when you said you wanted money, I swear you guys. I thought that it was another one of your famous prank'um gags. I know you guys are total math whizes and that's how you keep so much of that bank you make. Now I will probably donate some money to the show, I just want to make it clear it is NOT because I like this new show. It's not because I derive some sort of immense joy from listening to it (more than once). It's certainly not because you guys are funny, or smart, or getting awesome guests. I'm only posting here because you told me not to. You get it? I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't know you or like you, but here is some money (not now, but when I get paid again). P.S. I subscribed to the pro version but I don't see the sexy boudoir pics anywhere, anyone else having this problem? P.P.S. I like the teasers, but they are a little cold for my taste. Do we really need to keep them in the freezer? How long will they last if we just like, leave them on the counter? P.P.P.S. What up to Chance-own and the dude who may or may not be the Narnold -
No problem, everyone needs to see the stargoyle doll, it is magnificent. I have an G-S3 and I used to use their droid app. It seems like it never gets updated though. Now I generally download them to my library via soundcloud on the episode page. I like it better for re-listening/skipping add purposes.

If you go to the episode's page they usually upload a few pictures from the studio. If you get the episode as soon as it comes out, the pictures may not be uploaded then. If you check back later in the day, the pictures should be there if they were taken by the engineer. They often will be tagged and reposted in blogs, and then linked from the Earwolf homepage. Hope this helps! Cheers, BRRII

How can we improve the Earwolf.com forums?
robinsbruce replied to andreslucero's topic in General Earwolf
Monsieur Laforge, Thanks for the help. Clearing my cache stopped the issue I was having with the likes. I dig the new site by the way, earlier it seemed like the top bar was catching and scrolling when I was on the main forum page, but now it's stopped as well. Keep up the good work! Love, BRRII -
How can we improve the Earwolf.com forums?
robinsbruce replied to andreslucero's topic in General Earwolf
Its a little slow for me as well. Also, this is a small issue, but when I like a comment now it reloads the whole page. Is it necessary to re run all the script just to add a like? -

Episode 102 — Satan's Face
robinsbruce replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
There's a big difference between bullying and giving someone a hard time, especially when it's clearly in good fun. The only other time we have heard about it was last week and there was more context. It isn't that drinking milk is strange, Matt thinks it's odd that a grown man often goes to a convenience store specifically to buy a gallon jug of milk that he drinks from. We found out this episode that he(Thomas?) goes to this store enough that the staff recognizes him. If you listen to enough of the I4H episodes, the interns job is supply material for the show. If that material happens to come from the odd behavior they exhibit, so what? If the intern feels abused he can quit the part time (probably unpaid) job. Also, Matt doesn't seem unpleasant to me. If he were as bad as you make him sound I doubt that guests would come back over and over again to get "berated" by him. P.S. the gif is a joke, I'm not trying to troll you, I just don't see where you're coming from on this. -
HOBGOBLINS!!! "you know, this place has real garbage-house potential"

ALSO What in the actual fuck grog....this just made my afternoon.

Para tu, Shannon.

This movie is definitely about modes of transportation.

An extra night means I'm watching this Braves game and then congo. Notes will be taken...

No worries! I have a feeling we will be discussing a lot of JDB in the next couple of weeks. I cannot even see a picture of Joe Don Baker without thinking, Wakka-chikka Wakka-chikka Wakka-chikka. "Heart pounding, veins clogging. Mitchell!" - C&B reminded me of this and it is fucking gold. "A day in the life of Joe Don Baker." "You want a beer? Some of them got cigarette butts in 'em."

Episode 57 — Public Access Nonsense
robinsbruce replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
Awesome show Jake! I love anything that is inane public access TV. You should try to get Hannibal on the show if you can, that dude is unbelievably funny. -
Never forget.

Episode 101 — Coma Counting
robinsbruce replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Tim Meadows is flawless. He is my hero. -
It could be a doc. called "Why don't you want more??!??!" But seriously, this is cool. I remember reading an article a loooong time ago about how hard it was for Black Thought growing up in in Philly (his story is really crazy) and he said something like hooking up with Ahmir/starting up the roots kept him from going insane because he and questlove just buried themselves in the music and spent all their time performing etc etc. Questlove is zen, and I would watch anything with him on it.
-
That shit was insane. PFT is in a whole other league. People were losing it in the crowd, I hope that makes it into the audio.
-
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I am with this. Can we just collectively listen to Voodoo again and agree that it was way ahead of its time? Devil's Pie and Spanish Joint are on every R&B playlist I have. It seems like a lot of R&B now is just about churlish and impulsive behavior (lookin at you R. Kelly). It used to be about complex emotional relationships right? I think this "party" music shit is super tired and I'm only in my mid-twenties. Am I losing my mind inside this post? Probably.
-
Turkey sandwich all the way.
-
I think it was Sean who predicted that, but yeah I knew it was coming. The people in this film are all insane and I think the point about "where is reality in this movie" is what really struck me. I feel like I get this movie but It's just not good. I don't know... June would have been awesome for this episode, I agree with everyone.

Episode UCB3 — Bonus: Ask The UCB 3
robinsbruce replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Matt I fucking love your book recommendations. I'm also super pumped you gave Isbell a shout out. I'm from north alabama and have been lucky enough to catch a few drive by/isbell solo shows over the past 10 years. If you are into that stuff, I would like to recommend to you Lee Baines III and the glory fires. Also The Dexateens. Looking forward to episode 100!!! Congrats Matt, long live long-form. -
If you guys think I'm going to follow you over to your new show, just because you came off 39 weeks of "hilarious" free material then you got another things comin! What's that? Oh I'm just supposed to "be a fan" cause you guys are lovable, down-to-earth knuckle heads who play by theirs own rules?!? Then when your next huge project or big deal comes along you can big boy us all again and buss us up real good. Is that how it works? Is "progressing in your career" really worth what you're putting Andy Kneis through? Now that I think of it, yeah maybe I will listen to your new show. Probably every single episode, but I won't "enjoy" it immensely. Now that I know your game you can't hurt me anymore. Toby- Can a dingus get one last swirly for the road? P.S. Thanks for the scoop guys, the troops will be glad to know they weren't forgotten.
